The Romance Package was amazing. For $219 per night, you get a bottle of sparkling wine and lovely chocolate truffles, buffet breakfast, $50 Westfield Sydney voucher, and late check-out (2pm). We stayed for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised when they hotel delivered yet another bottle of sparkling wine and truffles on our second day, and of course, another $50 Westfield voucher. It’s like a gift that keeps on giving.

The room we were in was adequately spacious for a city hotel, and I guess the “L” shape made the space seem larger as you had a little spillover area for the study table, and if you need to do ironing. Amenity-wise, there’s iron/ironing board, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower cap. If you need anything extra you could ring but I brought my own cotton buds so I was fine. Bed was comfortable and TV screen quality was good.

The location is good as it is so close to the Pitt Street shopping area. On George Street (next road down), you can get a free shuttle that goes in a loop from Circular Quay to Chinatown. Taxi ride to Paddington is about $14-$15 but we also did walk back from Oxford Street. And we walked from Wynyard Station when we got in from the airport. Can’t beat the location and convenience.

The lobby was spacious and welcoming and concierge guys were good. There's free 30 minutes of wifi in the lobby but that wasn't great (but that is just a small hiccup).

I would highly recommend this and would not hesitate to come back.

The service was good with a great location and comfortable beds (really luxurious). There are lots of restuarants around but unfortunately their breakfast buffet was not as good a spread that I would like. There was no fresh juices. Location is right in the centre only 5 minutes walk to Darling Harbour. Service from staff is good and they are friendly. This hotel always gives me a homely feeling

The Grace is a majestic Sydney iconic building in the heart of the CBD. It's in a great location and walking distance to all the major shops just a block away. You could also walk to the rocks or darling harbour is so inclined. The building is in great condition and been beautifully restored into a quality hotel. The history still lingers inside and out, with some of its history detailed on the walls of the lobby / lift area. We bought a luxury escapes package for 2 nights which was really good value and included breakfast. The rooms were very clean and good condition with comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was nice with a wide range of food. Overall a good hotel in a good spot. If I had a complaint it is about the staff around reception , while they were friendly and helpful they were fairly young and inexperienced for a hotel of this caliber , especially the concierge side after I had a botched up dinner reservation .

Room Tip: go for high floor away from road noise

Lost count of the number of times I've stayed here. Beautiful building inside and out. Modern rooms, tastefully decorated and superbly fitted out with all the travelling necessities. Staff are courteous and polite. Very handy for the main areas of the City Centre, The Rocks, Darling Harbour etc. When I go here on business, I take my family with me, knowing I'm staying in this hotel.

I stayed at The Grace Hotel for three nights. The first impression you get is the lobby with its beautifully restored Art Deco features. This lends an aura of old-world charm which is carried on throughout the hotel. The check-in procedure was quick and efficient.
Our room was a reasonable size, with a king-sized bed. The decor is quiet, inoffensive hotel-style decor, but looks quite fresh. The bathroom was large, with a shower but no bath. The lack of bath doesn't bother me really, and the shower was incredibly forceful, which is great on a cold Sydney morning. The bed was beautifully comfortable - soft but supportive.
The Grace is located a couple of minutes' walk away from Wynyard Station, and a few minutes' walk to Pitt Street Mall and the Queen Victoria Building. It's still a comfortable walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Darling Harbour is a similar walk in the opposite direction. The location is pretty central to what most people want if they're staying in Sydney.
Housed within the hotel is an Irish pub (I can't remember the name of it but you can't miss it), where they sell a great pint of Guinness at a reasonable price. The food looked interesting and affordable.
During the week you're spoilt for choice regarding coffee shops nearby, but they seemed to disappear at the weekend. A short stroll to Pitt Street Mall soon solved the caffeine cravings, though. There are also a number of fabulous looking pubs around The Grace which were open every night.
The Grace provides a buffet breakfast, which is quite pricey unless you book it the night before. It sounded fabulous but I didn't go for it this time. Maybe next time....
The Grace is a brilliant place to stay when visiting Sydney. It's classy, welcoming and comfortable and it's also in a great location.

Room Tip: There aren't really any views to be had because it's inner city, but if you like to see the...

Room clean, bed comfortable. Yes, it is a bit dated, but a good nights sleep is the most important thing to me.

The disappointing thing about this hotel for me was the food - I had both room service (chips tasted of old oil, calamari far too over cooked, burnt taste) and the breakfast. The breakfast was just very old school, and focus didn't appear to be on quality ingredients. Really disappointed with the food for a 4 star hotel, in this very competitive market.

But I slept well. And based on that, I would stay again. But not eat there.

Beautiful Art Deco building. Great location.
