Its a great oasis of calm and beauty metres away from the city centre. It's a beautiful place and the fact that it exists at all is the biggest wonder. This is where a lot of those iconic shots of the opera and the harbour bridge were taken so of course, the views are amazing!

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney are so beautiful and peaceful. The gardens are wonderful and the harbour views spectacular. Take a picnic lunch or walk to the Art Gallery of NSW for a meal in the restaurant for something special or the cafe if you want something less expensive.

If you do nothing else, make time to savour this lush oasis in the middle of a busy city. You won't regret it!

A short walk from the Opera House and just beauty everywhere. Historic old trees, mythical statues, the rose garden, the herb garden - all beautiful in bloom and kept. Spent several hours walking and exploring. A great way to pass time!

I so love this place, just a skip and a hop from busy downtown Sydney CBD, it is full of memories of happy days, falling in love, children growing up, birthday picnics, city celebrations, sunset performances of Shakespeare's Midsummer Nights Dream in the Park, ideas for gardens, short cuts across the city to the Art Gallery and Lady Macquarie's Chair, and so it goes. I love the replica of the first farm in European settlement. These days there are even scarecrows. I love the jungle area, I love the Cactus garden that looks like an undersea fantasy. I love the Museum. Here can be found wonderous collections of trees, shrubs, flowers. Right now the Spring display is just gorgeous! The flowers just capture you, overwhelm the senses and leave you smiling with in extreme state of pleasurance. Happy, happy place. Go, and take yourself, take your lover, take the kids, buy an ice cream, feed the ducks. And take your camera. Plenty of parking.
