- Free Wifi
- Breakfast included
We have probably stayed at this hotel about 8 times now, infact, when we go to Sydney we always try to stay here. I work in the fashion trade so it is very close for my business requirements but it is much more than that. The beds are awesome, their rooms are very comfortable - I wouldn't say luxurious but definitely better than most hotels. They have everything that you could require. They offer free wifi which is useful and their breakfast is excellent value for money and of course there is on site parking for a reasonable cost. It is a very short walk to Central station and a beautiful walk up into the city. My little girl loves their in door pool. In short we love this hotel.
Thank you for your great review, we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel again soon!
I stayed for one night when visiting Sydney for the AFL. The location was handy being close to central station and close to the city centre. The room was a bit dated and too much air fresherner had been used but was comfortable and spacious. I slept really well which is what I look for in a hotel. For the price I was really happy with this choice.
Thanks for your review and feedback. Hopefully your team had a win for you at the AFL! We do get some great feedback about the beds.
We stayed here thinking it was in the CBD as it is called Rydges Sydney Central and is right by Central Station. Depsite it's name, Central Station is not in the centre of the shopping part of the CBD. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from Pitt Street Mall and at least 20 minutes from the Sydney Opera House and Bridge. If you are visiting Sydney in winter and it is freezing, this walk can be very deterring.
There are no close by cafes for breakfast and every morning we had to set out on quite a walk to find anything decent.
The hotel itself was reasonably priced and the room was very large (we stayed in a twin deluxe). Staff were very helpful and lovely.
I would not stay here again solely because of the location but as mentioned, the hotel itself is lovely.
Hi Annika, thank you for your review. No unfortunately the Shopping precinct in Sydney is a little closer to the Harbour just a short bus or train trip or about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. We do have a great restaurant onsite serving Buffet Breakfast daily or Café Nano in the west wing on the ground floor.
Kind Regards, Jenny
On arrival to the hotel first impressions were great. Until we got out of the lift and were treated by the overpowering smell of chemicals from the pool that we were sharing the floor with.
The room was nice, had everything you would need and great facilities, though if two people are booking single beds it's generally because they don't want to share a bed. The single beds were so close together we may as well have been sharing.
The beds were very comfortable and room was nice and dark but extremely loud both traffic and we had the disturbing experience of listening to someone's midnight rendezvous - very glad I didn't bring my children!
The experience did slightly turn me off and I think I'll seek other accommodation in the future.
Thank you for your feedback, Sorry to hear you won’t be back, requests can be made for a room on the laneway side of the hotel if the Sydney traffic noise does get a little too much.
