“Well worth the climb”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

It took a lot of will power and perseverance for me to climb the 200 stairs to the top (its all mind over matter so I'm told! but I get very queasy when I can see through stairs and end up in a lather of sweat) However, once at the top the views were spectacular. Enjoyed reading the history of the bridge which is on display.

“Cheaper alternative to bridge climb”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Views up on top are spectacular, all Sydneysiders are very proud of the Sydney Harbour. It also tells you the history of how the bridge was built, how many nuts and bolts were used and all the other statistics. If you don't want to fork out the cost to climb the bridge itself, this would be an excellent second choice.

“A view from above that spares you the climb”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

There is an option to climb the pylon of the bridge for a small fee. this options allows one a bird's eye view without a big climb. there is also a museum to see in the pylon. A great experience anyone can enjoy.

“Great views and cheap!”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

If you can't afford to do the bridge climb (or you're afraid of heights!), I'd recommend the pylon lookout. It used to be free, but now you have to pay, however it's a fraction of the cost of the bridge climb and you still get a great view of the surroundings.

“Great view”

I climbed the harbour bridge on my 1st trip to Sydney 12 years ago . I found this climb to be obviously easier, but it also had the massive advantage of giving you the flexibility to stay up there for as long as you want , & more importantly for me, to be able to take my camera & take as many photos as I wanted . I was also lucky enough to be at the top as a massive cruise liner left the harbour
