stayed here with my boyf, we were in a 3 bed dorm, our room mate was lovely (luckily) because the room was tiny. when we checked in the owner was talking to us about how he likes to 'blow'.. not what you want to hear straight off a plane. looking back we think the hostel is over priced, but at the time we knew no better. hostel is very clean. kitchen you can hardly cook in its so small, also small roof terrace. the place was so clique.. none of the long timers talk to anyone outside there circle and just make new guests feel so unwelcome e.g. first night we were to rooftop to socialise, all the seat out of the rain were taken, we stood there for about 10 mins before someone eventually offered to move up. sitting in the living room is impossible and people hog the beanbags all day and long timers/staff dominate the tv channels. hostel is right opposite indie travel so every time you come in and out of the hostel, they try to sell you something. they do have a good entertainment schedule and offer coupons for the local area. free wifi too which was grand.

My very first impression was the guy at the reception(with glasses). He was very friendly and professional. He knew his job and very at it. He addressed everything about the hostel and made sure I understood everything. The room was great. There were bed lights and lockers. The bathrooms weren't that great.. a bit dirty.

Very dingy and shabby place. Pillows and bed and weird stains on them. Cockroaches in my room. Bathrooms very dirty - almost didn't bother showering. Very nice and friendly staff. The whole hostel had a weird smell to it. However if you are travelling budget - it is bareable!

But I recommend any of the YHA hostels :)

Stayed here for 3 nights in a 4 dorm it was a mess due to a long term person living there but it didnt feel dirty! Rooms were tiny & sheets had stains on them but were clean!
Bathrooms were tiny and poorly laid out nowhere to change or put your stuff and the toilets were so small in the cubical but they were clean....overall it was ok it didnt make my skin crawl like other places we have stayed ...shabby but not dirty from what we saw.
I didnt venture in to the kitxhen or common room so cant comment on that!
Staff are lovely and location is good! Very noisey as no aircon so windows wide open is a must already ...plus been in the room with 3 blokes it became very stinky during the night!
Wifi was ok slow when alot of peopel using but thats the norm.
All in all id stay they again.

Booked under the pretence it had free parking, drove to it after a 9 hour drive to discover it doesn't have ANY parking you have to find the kings cross car park and pay $30 a night !
It wasn't that clean and the bed sheets had stains on them. Staff were quite friendly and it had free wifi although it didn't work on our floor.

The location is central to KC but a walk tome CBD.

The rooms was clean and there is a small locking space per person.

The luggage room stank and was precariously stacked high.

The free breakfast was good - but the common room was dark and dank. Similarly to the bathrooms, actually the whole hostel.

Wifi is free but intermittent when there is a high usage but standard amongst backpackers.

The staff were helpful and efficient.

I recommend the market in Kings Cross at the weekend.

We stayed in the double room just for one night on a weekend.
Whilst I wouldn't recommend it if you want to go to bed early, its in the perfect location to enjoy a night out in the cross like we did.

Our room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff were friendly. Couldn't ask for much more really. We will be back next time we go out in Sydney.
