We stayed here for 2 days, the receptionist was really nice and helpful. the room was clean and comfortable even though the room with old furniture and need some renovation. no lift but the hotel guy would help you without extra money. easy access to main attraction in Sidney. no air conditioner so we had to open the window. the room was noisy at night because of the road outside the hotel. we could use the kitchen with full equipment, save us more money.

We spent two nights at the Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel, it's location is perfect- right in the middle of the action! The staff were very friendly and the hotel was kept very clean and tidy. The stairs are a bit of a nightmare, but overall it was a stay.

I often come to South Wales for my business purpose and this time there was no difference. I booked Harbour because it was close to my meeting place. I had to stay here for 3 days.

The location is really nice and convenient .The rooms were large and well equipped.

But the flaws were the floor is not clean the room service is below average. In the room the size of the TV is very small and I don't think this is a good sign for a hotel with this standard. The food quality is OK but nothing exceptional.

But I must admit this is a good place for those who are little short in budget.

This hotel is in a great location, the rooms are spacious, have free WiFi and clean enough but not spotless and it is very cheap. Having said that, the room we had was very cold at night and the heater provided did not worked and the blankets were not really enough, the room was also very noisy due to the busy road outside. If you are looking for location on a budget, then go for it but if you want anything better than a very basic room then go elsewhere.

This hotel is literally located next to Darling Harbour, so the location is very convenient. The building is old, but has been completely refurbished. My first impression is that this place is very clean. The fittings and decor are average - the bathroom has a shower and toilet and is relatively new, so the stay is comfortable, without being exceptional.

The is tea and coffee making facility in teh kitchen at 2nd floor, there is a BBQ facility at the roof top, and there are three levels of floors. There is no lift, but the guys managing th eplace seem happy and always ready to carry your baggage up those floors.

The best feature is really its location, and its value for money. We stayed there during the Future Music festival, so accommodation was expensive and we just could nto find anywhere that we could afford. We found this one at $195 for a room for three, and with its location, and given the peak season, it is perfect for the purpose.

Parking is a bit of a hassle and we parked at Novotel but that cost us $60/night, which is ouch.... There is off street parking but it is only for 2 hours.

The sleep quality is Ok becuase the street is not so noisy.

Lovely, budget priced small hotel conveniently located right in Darling Harbour and just a bus or ferry ride to Sydney Harbour. Very friendly and helpful staff and as a solo traveler I felt safe and very much at "home" here for the 3 nights I stayed. I enjoyed and appreciated the "old" building, there is no elevator which was not a problem for me as I usually choose to use stairs but may be for others, however staff carried my bag up for me.
Room and bed were clean and comfortable with nice linen and there was a TV and Fridge. There is a kitchen available to use which was handy as well as a grocery store a few blocks away. Staff kindly arranged for a private taxi to take me to airport on my departure date which I appreciated.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to singles, couples or families wanting to explore the area on a budget and I will be staying at the Sydney Darling Harbour on my next visit to Sydney.

This hotel is definitely not the hotel written about in the latest review. It is a very old hotel with old style rooms. We were on the second floor (up 48 stairs as no lift). There is no room service not that this was an issue. One definitely gets what one pays for. The room was adequate with an ensuite with very slippery tiles. A very small flat screen tv was mounted on the wall. Even though the white sheets were clean and laundered there were a few stains left on them. There is no air conditioning but there was an upright fan and a ceiling fan. A window opened out to a sort of opening and there was some noise but not too bad and no flyscreens. There was a communal kitchen. On the upside it is close to everything in Darling Harbour, easy walking distance to all the attractions for a tourist. At $120 for a twin per night this is great value at Darling Harbour but certainly nowhere near the standards of a hotel...more like a hostel.
