“Lovely sprawling green park”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Grab a picnic and find a secluded spot to while away the hours.
Pick up some old bread for the ducks in the duck ponds, keep your eyes peeled for the eels!
Many different picnic spots, playgrounds, BBQs and great for the kids.
Parking easy to find.
Horse riding, bike hire, cafes and information centres dotted around.
In summer there are also some open air cinemas.

“Centennial Park - the big green lung of Sydney”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

If you are in Sydney and you want to see more than bricks and concrete (just like any other city), then you must visit the Centennial Parklands - it's free and there is something for everyone, young, old, fit and those who just want to lay on the grass. The Centennial Park itself is huge and really easy to get "off the path" and explore the many "side tracks". One little trick is to walk in a certain direction around the Park one day and then walk in the reverse direction the next day and you will think that you are in a different Park. Don't miss this fantastic gift to the people of the world - a huge green lung right in accessible distance of the Sydney CBD.

“I Love the Park”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Centennial Park is used and loved by many locals. Being fairly close to the city and a short walk from Paddington's terrace houses, art galleries and Saturday markets, it is a great place for tourists to relax as well. Its lawns and gardens are kept beautifully and there are quiet areas of native trees and lakes with birds. Take a picnic or visit the cafe or restaurant. If you are missing your dog, join the dogs playing on the outside of the circular road, or if you are a horse rider, prearrange to hire a horse from the centennial equestrian centre and ride on the track around the park. There is a cycling track and a walking/jogging track too. Entry to the park is free. Stay an hour or a day.
