I went for the 12pm tour on a Thursday. There was a small group of us and we were lead into the Synagogue where we met with one of the members of the Synagogue. We sat down in the pews and watched a 30 minute movie of the history of the Synagogue as well as Judaism in Australia. The movie was very informative and after the video we were allowed to ask questions to the tour guide. We pretty much sat the entire time while he did questions and answers. After a pretty long time of that we then moved down to the Synagogue's community center to see the museum. It was also interesting and a bit small. I just wish there was more walking and talking instead of sitting and listening. The Synagogue itself is stunning. The inside is quite beautiful especially the ceiling.
