We started our walk from the Spit Bridge which is located on the harbour side of the bridge, there is ample signage to direct you in the right direction. If in doubt just walk along the foreshore to Clontarf Beach and you will come across the bush track at the very end of the beach and once there the route is clearly marked. The walk took us about 2 hours with a few stops at spectacular vantage points to take snap shots of the views over Sydney Harbour. We were blessed to have the most glorious sunny day - there was a slight breeze and the sun sparkled on the water - the views are just magnificent and breathtaking! The walk itself I found fairly easy with well marked tracks and as it had rained a couple of day prior there were a few muddy areas yet just take your time stepping around or through the wet puddles. At the end of the walk you traverse through a park past quaint residential streets before hitting the busy Manly Wharf precinct. Once in Manly there are many established restaurants and fast food outlets at the ferry wharf together with the Manly Wharf Pub .The ferry will take you back to the city or catch a bus the city or along the jump off at The Spit Bridge to jump back into your car. I would suggest to go early morning before it gets too warm as there isn't always much shade. Do wear comfy walking shoes, wear a hat, take a camera or your mobile phone, a water bottle and a beach towel for a dip at Manly Beach. This beautiful coastal walk is a fun experience. Highly recommend it!
