Owner description: Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.

I like Circular Quay and the hustle and bustle of passengers connecting between Sydney Trains and Harbour Ferries.

However the playing of a didgeridoo was far too loud, while poor signage about the toilets was not optimal.

The City of Sydney ought to have some of its staff travel down to Melbourne to observe good tourist signage.

The whole area could do with better cleaning as the footpaths and walking areas 'look' dirty.

This is the best part of sydney as a traveller.
Choose your destination. Take a ferry to any place you like...
Manly to me is the best way to start.....
It is beautiful and people are so freindly.

Dirty, smelly and do not dare use the bathrooms, you might catch something. Needs a face lift and a good clean.

l have travelled many times to and from circular quay to manly the best trip, enjoy the sights and the sun beaming on you while sitting on the deck of a ferry, cant find that any other state in Australia. Very easy travel from circular quay and there is always someone there to assist you if you don't know which ferry to catch, Must do when in Sydney.

This is the location where boats and trains merge in Sydney Cove. So expect crowds. The Rocks and the Royal Botanic Gardens and Opera House surround the Quay. Lots of restaurants including outside cafés so you won't go hungry. Prices are high in the Quay area so you'd need to eat elsewhere if budgeting.
