“Better than expected”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Visited in February 2014. Didn't expect much from this attraction as it's location suggests it will be quite small. However we were pleasantly surprised as they really have used every bit of space to it's maximum potential. The 'zoo' has some incredible enclosures and also some outdoor areas with some native animals. I won't spoil the it for you, but it it's definitely worth a visit.
The great thing is it's located next to the aquarium and also seems to benefit from not being as crowded as taronga zoo...if you avoid school holidays.

“A fun morning out!”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We'd been to Taronga Zoo the day before and because of the size of the zoo and the size and age of the children we didn't get to see it all. This was a perfect way to see some of the animals we missed out on. The girls and I loved it, with it small, friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff willing to take the time to interact with us. We loved it and the bonus is its very wheelchair friendly!

“Saw animals indigenous to the Southern Hemisphere”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Cassowary – large black bird with a blue neck
Koala – difficult to take their picture while sleeping
Wallabies and Grey Kangaroo – look for the cute Joeys
Tasmanian Devil – appearance similar to small black dog with sharp teeth

Stop and visit the Butterfly Tropics. Many varieties of butterfly will set themselves on you.

Would loved to have had Breakfast with the Koalas but our schedule did not permit.

“Good location but at a price!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

Nice location, easily accessible. Admission was definitely overpriced for such a small zoo. A variety of Australian wildlife, however many Australian native animals were not there which was disappointing. We had the opportunity to feed the kangaroos as part of the experience, and had our photo taken with a koala at an extra fee. Overall good if you have a couple of hours to spare while in the city, but would recommend somewhere bigger to see a wider variety of wildlife.

“My kids enjoyed it”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

I have 4 kids under 13 and I thought this would be a great attraction to see in Sydney. They had a great time. It was a surprise how many animals they could put in this building. You could pay to touch and hold certain animals. Also get a photo with a koala but not touch it. It can add up $$$ if you do this, but that's up to you. My children had more fun feeding the birds on the top floor, free. They got the seeds off the floor and waited patiently for them to come. For myself I thought the areas for the animals looked on the small side but in the end it was the kids that were happy. Worth a look.
