Visited in February 2014. Didn't expect much from this attraction as it's location suggests it will be quite small. However we were pleasantly surprised as they really have used every bit of space to it's maximum potential. The 'zoo' has some incredible enclosures and also some outdoor areas with some native animals. I won't spoil the it for you, but it it's definitely worth a visit.
The great thing is it's located next to the aquarium and also seems to benefit from not being as crowded as taronga zoo...if you avoid school holidays.
