This is a charming little hotel with nice old fashioned styled rooms. Stayed in a queen which was nicely appointed with colonial style furnishings and flat screen tv. Little balcony but honestly too much traffic noise to really sit out and enjoy. Hotel served a great bistro dinner at a good price and included a continental breakfast in the room fee. The hotel is a great location to darling harbour and china town or George street - walking distance to all. I stayed here to attend a work conference and self funded so was looking for something cheap. And in this location it is hard to find cheap hotels but it was a little noisy with street traffic at night and walls are thin, so I did hear the midnight delight from next door- so if you are a light sleeper it might be an issue. I would stay again if wanting budget price location.

Older style hotel accommodation, clean and comfortable right in the middle of everything. Perfect to access to the convention centre. Friendly staff, more than helpful and free breakfast. On site restaurant and bar. Definiately recommended for business travelers or overnight.

Had a night here on a quick trip to Sydney. Close to everything and nice big clean rooms. Only problem is parking but there is a parking station nearby. Very close to Darling Harbour. Great staff. Very friendly. Will be staying again.

We stayed for two nights in their standard room. Very clean and comfortable but has not got any extras in the room. There is a bar fridge to use and a very basic continental breakfast is provided down the hall. Very easy walk to the Sydney monorail, across the road from the Powerhouse Museum and short stroll into the heart of Darling Harbour. We will use it again - especially if attending anything at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Exhibition Centre, etc. Very friendly staff and the pub downstairs does a really good meal for next to nothing

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

Last time we visited this establishment was to meet up with friends from interstate . Can't say we were impressed as it looked old and tired, with an air of neglect. Over a year later and curiosity brought us back when we drove past and saw it looked different inside. We dropped in last Friday and what a surprise. Bright, light and packed with locals and business people. Refurb is almost complete and it already has a good atmosphere and friendly bar staff (quick service!). Kitchen pumps out really good value, fresh and tasty food. If you like a punt it has a state of the art TAB set up...we imagine this place will be packed to the rafters come Melbourne Cup day. Not sure if the rooms have been refreshed so we'll be asking for our friends next time we go. If you work or live close by, well worth venturing in.

I'd been to this Pub a few times before when I was in Sydney for work. Just a place I could go to have a quick bet and beer.
But I recently went back to watch the State of the Origin Game as I was in Sydney.
Well, what a surprise I got!! It is a different pub! I couldn't believe the difference. The Bar staff told me the Pub had recently been taken over and I have to say the changes are amazing because it was nothing to rave home about before.
The Bar is light and renovated, the TAB is sensational and the food was bloody awesome! Tv's everywhere to watch the game and the atmosphere was great, it was packed! It was warm and inviting, you could talk, have a few beers, watch the game and best of all, they were serving Free Schooners from Kick off until first points!!
I hear they've got great rooms upstairs andI'll def stay here when I'm in Sydney again.
Great little Pub!!
