We stayed here for a week when our caravan broke - very last minute so we were able to score a good rate that we found on last minute.com. Rang the hotel direct and they were happy to book us in at the same rate. The rooms were clean and perfectly fine. On site was a restaurant and bar - had dinner one night - not cheap but the food was very nice. The pool was sparkling and well maintained, tho a little cold for swimming in July. A short easy walk into town, but they also have shuttle buses if needed. The staff were all very friendly and professional, we would definitely have no problem staying here again.

We have stayed here a couple of times now when visiting Alice Springs. Just come back from our most recent stay. Always found the staff really helpful and friendly. It is a really great place to stay - just on the edge of town but within walking distance. Quiet and clean and really friendly. Very close to the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens (with great cafe). It is always our recommendation to friends.

The Chifley Hotel was a lovely oasis in the dessert on my first visit to Alice Springs. The staff were so helpful and the facilities offered me several options to rest and relax. Travelling alone, I felt safe and very supported during my stay. Definitely a place to return to and also one to suggest to other single women travellers.
Obviously families and couples would also thoroughly enjoy the variety of restaurants, the clean and oh so comfortable beds.

And I look back to returning and swimming in the pool in warmer times!

Stayed here as part of an Eastern Australia tour on our way to Uluru. ( Ayers rock)
Some interesting things to see including the Flying Doctor service but I think I could have given Alice Springs a miss. Perhaps it was just me!
Hotel OK. Staff friendly and helpful. Room OK. Alice Springs not for me so perhaps it clouded my view of the hotel. Sorry!

Nice rooms and gardens, plus a lovely outdoor swimming pool (which it was too cold to use during out visit). Overall at just over $100 / night this hotel offers good value for money and is fine for the business traveller.

We spent three night in a "River Gum" top floor room at the end of a tour from Uluru with AATKings. The hotel is situated in a very handy position, close to town and with very good amenities. The buffet breakfast is very good, the reception staff cheerful and helpful and all round the Chifley was a good experience. We'd stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights as part of a group booking. It is conveniently located for access to local attractions. Reception service was good, and coin operated washers and dryers were available.
Good breakfast buffet.
