Very disappointed with this motel. Booked a king room with spa which sounds quite grand but it was a long way from that. The room was basic, very basic. The air-con was noisy and difficult to leave on through the night due to the rattling. The first night we were woken by someone on the floor above threatening to kill someone and a couple of hours later a woman was wailing outside of our door. We felt very vulnerable and questioned the location. The second night we returned after midnight after a tour and found the key did not work. We had to walk to the closed reception and ring management. He did attend to us promptly and it turned out the wrong check-out date had been input to the system causing the electronic key to fail. Given the events of the night before it was a frightening few minutes left outside the motel with people shouting on the street corner. Found the price expensive for the current condition of the place.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the front of the property due to noise and feeling of safety

It's actually probably more like a 2.6; the service was fine - the employees were very nice & very accommodating; the room was big enough, some parts were updated (leather chairs, glass top sink) others were not (kitchen was old, tub old & stained, etc); the part that made me very uncomfortable was the seriously stained linens, dirty fridge, places that maybe aren't as common to clean, but very easy to see - hair dryer, was very unclean. Outside patio was in serious need of some tlc. I thought this was a best western plus, but can't see that on the sign; if it is, it seriously falls short; the location is perfect for this town; wish they would fix it up & clean it; it could be so cute

This motel offers a variety of room styles but for $110 we had a cool spacious ground floor room with its own outside space. The motel is right in the middle of town, but is quiet at night, and supermarkets etc are only a few minutes away. The pool is a good size, very clean and well shaded, and no one else in it when we were there.
It's a good choice for both an overnight stay and longer, because many of Alice's attractions are very close.

The motel is well located for access to town amenities, but traffic noise can be a problem. The rooms are basic and could do with a facelift, infact the whole place looked a bit tired. We didn't eat here as it did not look appealing at all. There are cheaper places to stay that would offer you a similar 'place to sleep only' - I can only assume you pay more to be closer to town. We were charged $110 room only (continental breakfast would have been an extra $12.50) for a very basic double room. As it was close to all supermarkets we bought our own fresh food for breakfast. Minutes walk from all restaurants and bars.

Room Tip: As it is located on a busy junction in town centre all rooms will probably be a bit noisy.

Hi Finlay122,

I really appreciate you taking the time to review and give us some feedback on your stay. We believe our prices are very competitive to other establishments in town, and we do have the advantage of a central location. Our motel is one of the oldest in Alice Springs and under went a cosmetic refurbishment 3 years ago. Being a family owned and run business, it is very hard to keep up with the bigger corporate establishments in town in terms of funding a facelift. We strive to make every guest's stay with us as enjoyable as we can, with helpful and friendly service. I sincerely hope the rest of your trip was a safe and enjoyable one.

I have stayed here 3 times now when travelling in and out of the APY Lands for work. The budget rooms are very basic, with very noisy air conditioning-but not bad value for $88.00 Aus. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms minuscule but functional. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The pool would benefit from more frequent cleaning and it's a handy 3-4 minute walk to Todd Mall.

This was to be my new special place in Alice until this stay. It is on a major intersection so expect some noise. It is old so expect some old things. It is however centrally located so the walk is minimal. The staff are very friendly. The biggest downfall for any motel room is an adjoining room with only a single door. At least the casino has double doors and if this place does have double doors they are paper thin. I didn't need to hear the old couple in the next room discussing if he should have a beer or scotch and I certainly didn't need to know which channel they both preferred and then to hear their tv. After a night out I didn't particularly need to come back to tip toe around in case I woke up the old folk.
If you book this motel, ask for a room without an adjoining room or else be prepared to have an early night.
Also, I agree with another comment. Usually when I get into a clean bed it smells nice. This smelt and felt like the sheets hadn't been cleaned. Something is going on with the laundry here.

Hi Dasboot_871,

I really appreciate you taking the time to review and give us some feedback on your stay. It's important for management to know when our standards aren't up to scratch in order to re-train staff where required. Your review will be discussed with all departments, Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance to ensure they are all aware of the areas that need attention.

Please accept my apologies for your experience with the adjoining room. Our policy is to sell these rooms last (as they are handy for families that require two rooms). Now knowing that we have a travelling sound issue - it will make it even more important to stress this to all front office staff.

Kind regards,

Average motel, 2 stars maximum for standard rooms. We stayed there twice. the rooms to the right of the courtyard were bigger than other standard ones but very old and with extremely noisy AC. The smaller ones had renovated bathrooms but permanently sealed blind windows in the back of the room. AC is much quieter there. One can leave (for free) luggage if leaving for Uluru (Ayers Rock) trip.

Room Tip: Try for superior rooms, seem to be much better and newer. But price might by much higher
