Convenient and helpful place to stay, either side of our Larapinta trip. I liked refillable bathroom potions - no packaging waste.
Good to be able to get early brekkie and store luggage.
Very helpful staff.

We stayed at the Aurora for four nights. Three before going on to Uluru and one after. The rooms were clean and tidy, with the exception of a stain in the shower stall. When we complained about it, the staff scrubbed until it disappeared. The location is ideal, right on the mall and near everything.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the courtyard.

This hotel was rated 4 star, but doesn't present as such. The staff are friendly and helpful and it's located right in the middle of town, very convenient. My first room was 4011 and was quite big and in a quiet area of the hotel. We returned a week later and were in room 1006 and this room was half the size. The decor is quite dated there are no baths in the bathrooms and some parts of the hotel are quite noisy.

There are outdoor areas where you can sit and relax and one restaurant, the Red Ochre, where the food is very good and they have good special deals. The breakfast buffet is quite limited but what is there is good quality.

All in all, the hotel is reasonably priced, comfortable and centrally located in the middle of tow, but not fancy.

Stay: 4 nights early June, 2nd floor-deluxe room with buffet breakfast. Deluxe was stretching things a bit far I thought, but the room was large, sliding doors leading on to a terrace, table/chairs for smokers. Plenty of sunlight coming in to room. Decor is "well-used", bed: hard, but pillows comfy. There wasn't an extra blanket in the wardrobe, but it wasn't needed, as the doona/duvet was comfy and very warm. Alice Springs nights in winter are quite cold. Plenty of hot water, shower fine, dispensers for soap, shampoo etc, not to my liking, but it's there. The lift is in the car park area, through side door of reception, slow, but needed with luggage. The back entrance of the hotel, leads out on to Todd Mall, most handy. Buffet brekky was so so, lacking in some area's. The very nice reception people will supply you with a 'box brekky' if you are leaving on an early morning tour and have already booked&paid for the buffet brekky. The only gripe I had were noisy suitcases being hauled along outside my room in the early hours to the lift by departing guests (tiled area outside room). The reception people were wonderful (Adam & Peggy) who helped me & were most kind, after I had a fall and partially twisted my ankle. Adam supplied a crepe bandage from the first aid kit and bought up a bucket of ice to my room for the swelling, it was very much appreciated and helped me considerably. I would stay here again.

Our initial accommodation was for 2 nights as part of the Ghan Experience package. We could not fault the room - bed excellent as was the shower.
We rebooked a room upon our return from Uluru and again, were most impressed - this time with an upgrade to king size room. Room clean and very spacious. Bed excellent and very comfortable. Shower - excellent pressure and nice and hot. We were most impressed with the cost of this room at $119 including full breakfast. Sadly, the breakfast was needing more attention as the majority of the food on our morning was not very hot. Staff excellent and very friendly and keen to assist wherever possible.
We certainly would recommend the Aurora Alice Springs.

I recently spent five days at the Aurora Alice Springs and had a wonderful time.
The rooms were very spacious and exceptionally clean.
The room was very quiet.
The staff were so helpful, organising shuttles, taxi's etc. Nothing was a problem for them.
The Hotel is so close to the Todd Mall which is a bonus.
The Café downstairs was excellent, we had breakfasts and lunches there, also the Devonshire Tea is recommended.
The next time I visit Alice Springs, I am certainly staying there again.

Room Tip: We had room 311 which is very close to the stairs to access the café downstairs and the Todd Mall.
