We stayed for two night on our way to Cairns and it was clean and reasonably comfortable. A bit outdated but nice and quiet.. Two nights was plenty..
Walking distance to the casino and a great Thai Indian Restaurant at the Hilton next door.. Not really walking distance to Town.. The free Wi Fi was good..
Golf course next door..

We stayed here a night before and after a 3 day excursion in the outback. This is a good place to stay because it is located a little out of the city center of Alice Springs. Other than that it is not that special. The little houses/bungalows are outdated and some of the lights were not working. The service was also really awful. The owner was screaming at his employees while everyone could hear it. Would not stay here again.

Hello and thank you for your review. Can I please clear one thing up, I are the owner and I are not in Alice Springs so it was not the owner screaming at employees. I really are not sure who you would be referring to so perhaps you could send me an email via the hotel explaining more so I can investigate as it does concern me if this was the case. You also mention the service was awful, I am not sure what service although we are only a 3.5 star property and do not have valet etc. service. Normally my reception staff go overboard to try and help guests. In regards to the lights I do know if reception was informed but can assure you if they had been would organised the light bulbs to be replaced. Thank you for your review.

we have just returned from 2 weeks at desert palms and really enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. Our room was great for the 2 of us and the kitchenette was so great to have considering our length of stay . Loved the verandah for our meals. We found it really quiet and slept soundly . The staff and cleaning people always helpful and nothing was a problem, we enjoyed the stroll into town , about 20 minutes but an easy flat walk. we were able to shop in town and carry back our groceries. Laundry facilities were good also. So thank you so much to you all, we would highly recommend desert palms, absolutely , thank you !

Room Tip: any room would be good ours was facing golf course side , there was a fence but it was quiet

We stayed here 3 nights at the beginning of our trip to the Red Centre and it was so good we booked 2 more nights at the end our journey. The guy in reception was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious and the bed comfy. There was a nice little area at the front of our unit where we ate lunch and dinner when we were there. The whole area was very neat and tidy.

Very helpful staff - at times I did have some issues in my room (toilet running when I arrived, light bulb in a lamp blew while I was there etc) and the staff always made sure the issue was attended to straight away. I stayed for two whole months and did not hate it by the end, so that is saying something! The little balcony was very pleasant to sit on in the evenings, my shower had a good level of water pressure and did not go cold, and my bed was extremely comfy. Very hand to have own fridge and cooking facilities, although I did buy some extra kitchen stuff for my stay. Perhaps only trouble was my plug was a little too small for the kitchen sink, and the water did not run hot enough to wash dishes well so I had to boil the kettle, but otherwise an excellent stay. Not super close to town but only 5 minutes by car or a little longer by bicycle. Todd River right outside the resort was really nice to walk along.

Room Tip: I'm pretty sure all the villas are great and no one had any noise problems. Just be mindful of t...

On arrival the reservations clerk was very pleasant and helpful. We were 2 couples and the accommodation was side by side separate units. Location of units was in the centre of the complex. Very quiet and relaxing. We did not need for our unit to be serviced and went to the office daily for coffee supplys as needed. Beautiful layout. Lovely swimming pool. Altho we did not use it, the laundry was handy and clean. Ideally located ,a few minutes drive to CBD or about 20 minutes walk

Room Tip: Watch the hump at the gate on entering and leaving, especially with a low car. No restaurant or fitn...
