Arriving at this place was wonderful with helpful staff and an eerie sense of safety from outsiders. The kids took to the pool and the room was very clean and well decorated. A great place for a soak to cleanse away a few days of ochre dust in the pores. We ate at the busy bistro @ $100.00 and the Restaurant for Breakfast for $50.00. The room cost was $165.00 which was the best ever value for the amenity.

The room itself was fine. Clean and tidy and a fair bit of space. My room was quiet and was not disturbed. The breakfast (had a fully breakfast) was nice, nothing special but good enough for the money.

The prices for the dinner at the restaurant were a bit over the top for what you got , but when i went next door to the steak place there wasn't much difference in price, BUT the meals were a better size and my steak EXCELLENT.

Funny thou at the restaurant, the menu says "fresh wild Barramundi" now there aren't too many swimming in the Todd River, so they can't be that fresh.so when I enquired, the fish was actually from a farm (so not wild) and had been frozen, so neither "wild" nor fresh on my understanding of what Fresh and Wild would mean.

All in All, I was fairly happy with this choice. Its not 4-5 star as you would expect on say some of the major metropolitan cities, BUT its ALICE Springs so all things in context.

I would be happy to pay and stay again.

We stayed just down the road and seeing as it was our wedding anniversary we thought we would try a meal and some gambling for a nice evening but after 20mins we were in a taxi heading into town...

Now this is just my opinion but i was gobs smacked - shocked that they have next to no dress or prior bathing code so be prepared for that if you catch my drift... It did not give the place a "casino" image more like downtown pub with a TAB. You could not escape the smell of them and no i'm not racist its the truth. Some were just meandering round with no purpose just annoying patrons.

They had a few diamond rooms that were upperclass but u had to join a club to use the machines.

We did not eat there as to get to any of the restaurants you need to walk right through it all. So we were mostly over it before dinner.

From what i saw they had 3 places to eat. One was fully booked out, (fair nuff) steakhouse was not very intimate but has good reviews and the other when we were seated we decided was way overpriced and very limited food selection. Need less to say we left bitterly disappointed but ended up having a fantastic evening else where in town.

Had 1 room Friday night with wife and another Saturday with inlaws. Lucky to get new rooms looking out at pool with 2nd night on 3rd floor looking at ranges drinking wine and chatting away after a great meal at sukra restaurant on both nights . Recommend to book prior which we did for Saturday but didn't Friday but were lucky enough on 2nd attempt half hour later . Wasn't particularly happy with Tali restaurant though . Empty seats everywhere just to be advised they just seated 30 people ??? Understand that puts pressure on staff but could have been told to give them half hr or so . Anyway all good thoroughly recommend this casino for weekend escape . Ask for new rooms if available !!

We had dinner in the Lasseters Casino. There are several restaurants, we were in an asian one, the service was poor and there were seen some strange animals on the floor - not a nice atmosphere for dinner. After that we went to the casino which is all right. Have a beer at the sports bar.
