“Fascinating”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

This Museum is a 'walk in time' looking at huge aeroplanes in gigantic hangars. The history of flight of Alice Springs is portrayed so brilliantly in this display. We were fortunate to be given some very interesting history of the planes and their pilots by a local resident volunteering his time there. It certainly made the walk amongst the aircraft more interesting. We in Australia have such a colourful history and it needs to be told.

“Interesting history”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

You'll be surprised by the stories behind the early pilots of Centralia. Nicely presented on the original grounds of the first airport (now next to Araluen Cultural Centre).

“Surprisingly Quirky”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

A free museum with great tidbits of flight information, planes, engines and photos on offer. Relaxed atmosphere with the history of Alice Springs well documented in an Airplane theatre! Beats Royal Flying Doctor Service although a little out of town.

“An interesting collection of Aircraft”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

This facility is a commendable labour of love for aviation in central Australia. There are displays and information on the history of aviation in central Australia including the flying doctor service. There are aircraft on display that were used by the flying doctors. There is also an interesting exhibit of the wreck of the Kookaburra a tragedy well known in Central Australia. It happened in 1929. It is an interesting stop and one that will enhance one's understanding of the history of the fascinating part of the world.
