My wife and I spent a long weekend here in late November and both really enjoyed our stay. It was wet and a cyclone was on its way, but that was by the by. The room was good and the setting of the resort was attractive. Our only issues were with the house-cleaning crew leaving our door open after they finished their work and the TV having almost non-existent volume. Would happily stay there again (and again).

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at SKYCITY Darwin. We are happy to hear that our rooms met your expectations and more importantly that the cyclone did not eventuate. Sorry that we dropped the ball a bit with the housekeeping leaving the door jarred we had our maintenance team go straight to room to tighten the door closer straight away, appreciate the feedback.

Stayed on a Territorian special rate which represented excellent value in one of the older style rooms which had been renovated nicely. Great bed, lovely views over pool & ocean glances. Great facilities - amazing pool, good fitness centre & a choice of several really nice bars and restaurants. Location suited us as we had everything we desired there, but it is only a 5 minute drive from city centre. High praises to the staff - all very professional, but warm & welcoming with it.

I went here today with a girlfriend, we had to go in separately but that was fine. The layout is really well done it's got good flow and it works with the darwin weather. The staff were very nice and professional, the massage was great really really well done, I asked for firm and it was. There was good flow, the music was good, the products were nice, the towels were soft and warm. I also had a facial which was lovely. I was a little cold from the air on but that's just what happens in Darwin. I will definitely be going back. Infact ill be booking in for 2 in the next 3 weeks. Thanks.

We booked a lagoon room and after a long flight from Bali we were excited to see our room however this excitement quickly passed when the rude late night check in guy told us we only had the lagoon view on the 2 nd floor not the lagoon access room. The website is misleading and for $360 a night in Darwin you would expect a top room. For every positive feature there were 2 negatives about this hotel. The room was big with basic but new interior and the bed was good however the pillows were lumpy and old. The bathroom was large and had a great size bath however the bathroom door was heavy and had a auto shutter on it and slammed every time. (not great with a sleeping baby) They had fantastic block out curtains however the bathroom window didn't have curtains and the morning light streamed through into the bedroom so the blackout curtains were a waist of space. We had no hot water the whole 2 days it was only luke warm and we could hear through the walls of our room and all the other bathroom doors slamming too. Room service breakfast was good and the service was great. The big positive was the lagoon pool and this would be the only reason to stay here. Its about a 45 min walk into Darwin city or a $20 cab ride, we asked at reception if there was a shuttle bus they said only a public bus (we have since learnt there is a shuttle bus 4 times a day) We have stayed in some of the best hotels all over the world and they have been the same price. This is a over priced hotel that is not 5 stars or worth the expensive rates.

Room Tip: Pay the huge fees for the lagoon access room this is the best the hotel has to offer

Im really only submiting this review to gloat. I stayed in the poolside Swim up room for 1 night, not sure how expensive it was but work paid for it...even better. Regardless of the price it is definately worth it.

I had a double shower in the room, which I turned both shower heads on when I used it...best feeling ever. Im 6ft 4inch and I got lost in the kingsize bed, the front deck overlooking the pool is nearly as big as a normal hotel room. A golf cart was used to transport me and my luggage to my room. Sitting on the front balcony in my comfy robe and slippers having a coffee in the morning was a great start to the day.

The only negative I had was the check in staff were a tad ignorant and not as usefull or happy as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

I must apologise to the staff working at the restaurant opposite my room in the early morning, next time I stay I promise I will wear clothes before I go for an early morning swim ;)

This place is close enough for me to heaven.....
