Hello Cathjl, we are glad you enjoyed the experience with us and to hear that you had a great time.
You are right in saying there is no fancy touristy stuff, there isn't. our establishment is based on an natural environment giving an original authentic experience to our visitors. It makes us sad whenever anyone talks about development on the site, we never want to change how it is, we want to keep it looking so natural, so beautiful and original. Your right in saying it is a good insight to aboriginal culture before you head out to Kakadu. The tours can become personal at times and everlasting friendships can be formed - it is a natural ability that we all have and the more people seek out from one another by asking question, the more it will surface.....We are glad you enjoyed your overall experience and rated us a 5/5.

Thanks a million for your review Cathjl - enjoy the rest of your travels and we hope you find more tours like ours.

Warmest regard,
The Pudakul Team :)

“Not to be missed”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Interesting father and daughter share their knowledge and the love of their culture. Both displayed a wonderful sense of humour. A must to begin any Kakadu tour.

“A lovely excursion”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Your host Graham has a passion for collecting guitars and supported Yothu Yindi and Paul Kelly he tells us. His daughter Deanne tells us their mother has her own passion for collecting bags. I mention this because as they discuss and teach you about their culture they interweave stories of their own lives in a friendly and endearing manner. It is a friendly, low key morning in a very pretty spot, finished off with a cup of tea or juice and some damper with honey. We loved this excursion. The key however is to ask lots of questions. The teams give you plenty of opportunity to ask and the more you do the more you will get out of your time here. It is a relatively short drive from Darwin as a round trip or a nice excursion on your way to Kakudu. Read the instructions on how to find it carefully however as it is not well signposted from the main road. The instructions are spot on, just keep your eyes peeled as you near the described turnoff.

OMG! We loved reading your review....I was like "Deanne" what have you been saying about me....lol....she laughed and said well at least I know they were listening.....Music is like magic in the air when Graham is driving the guitar, it is such a lovely thing to have around you, and extra special when it is live, like it is in our family (almost every day). We are working on getting road signs installed on the highway (at the entrance) and they should be in place by the end of the month.

Thanks for your review, we wish you safe travels throughout the future and if your ever in our neighbourhood in the future please drop in and say hello!

“Amazing Tour and a Beautiful Family”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

It is amazing what Graham and his family taught us all today about the Aboriginal Culture. The Bush Medicine and Tucker is unbelievable who would of ever thought it was all out there. We were shown different Didgeridoo and what they sound like, and so many different things. We walked away with so much knowledge and it is great to find out all of this about different culture. The Damper was so great. Thankyou Graham and your beautiful family for sharing this with us most enjoyable. Lorraine and Pauline

“Love of the land”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Graham and his daughter Deann were fabulous tour guides on the aboriginal cultural tour. Deann has a bright future ahead of her! Fabulous tour and very friendly for all ages. Not much walking which was great having a 3 year old along the way. Loved being involved in the spear throwing and the damper was Devine.. Tour guides should definitely promote this tour more... Highly recommended

As soon as this review arrived, they knew exactly who you were and they all said 'that's the lady with the little boy'! Deanne told me it was fun having you and bub on tour, she said he liked the lizard and Graham told me how he built a little house....that is just so cute. Normally they tell us stories of how they had a bird watcher in the group who saw or heard a bird and so he/she got up and walked away to find it.

Deanne is a great young girl and has been guiding since she was 14 years old, she recently finished a CERTIII in Tourism and has told us everything she does in life will always revolve around tourism. She has the right attitude, even under times of pressure - Being at the forefront of Tourism is where she is keen to stay. :)

Both Deanne and Graham said to say hello! They also said to thank you for coming on Trip Advisor to share your first hand experience with people.

We wish you all the best with your future travels and thank you for coming to Pudakul to experience our culture and to learn a little more about us! (Deanne, Graham and John said to send BIG hugs to the little man)

Kindly the Pudakul Team :)
