Owner description: Berry Springs Nature Park, is a great location close to Darwin where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and a BBQ. A great place to unwind after spending a day at the Territory Wildlife Park. Please check our website for access to swimming. During the wet season, October-April, the pools may be closed when swimming is considered to be unsafe.

Perhaps would have been nice if early morning, or if there was a ranger, but I didn't like the vibe of the place with drinking and swearing around kids

We loved this spot. We stayed at the nearby Tumbling Waters Campground and were regular visitors here. The water is so warm and there are three tiers to the swimming area. Outside of public holidays and weekends, the place is very quiet and has BBQ and picnic areas to relax in. In busy times, the water can get a bit greasy with sunscreen and the like. We took our 7 month old daughter here and she loved it as much as we did. There is no cost to get in. When it's busy, parking spaces are hard to come by.

Pleased to see this is still a great swimming hole with good access to the long pool and lots more picnic areas nearby. There are electric and wood BBQ's and quite a few tables, but on busy weekends you might need to take extra seating etc. A tropical setting and although a lot of the pool is quite deep, there are shallower areas for young children. Still a great place for a swim only 45mion from Darwin.

I went to berry springs darwin for an amazing swim in the magnificent springs ,so peaceful and tranquil.great water fall cascading down, better than any massage.,
As you made your way thru shallow water .lots of large beautiful rocks, water so crystalclear ,they were easy to manouve around .little fish smimming around ,as you came to large natural swimming pool .other large fish.
We moved onto Litchfield hotel for a few drinks ,Stayed in Hotel camping ground ,were setting up snacks .a little creature came out of the darkness, loved .snacks .stayed a while ,dissapeared ,we really didnt know what animal it was .Saw in darwin museum.it was a Bandicoot , Next morn we packed up and spent more time in Berry Springs.
Just a wonderful place .
