Camped overnight on our way down the Cape. Very quiet spot with clean amenities. Cafe open for meals if required. Croc spotting in the waterhole out the back and very friendly horses! Amazing night sky!

The accomodation was very comfortable for where we were. The meals were good hearty meals and the people were friendly. What more could you ask for. The building is a lovely old telegraph station which gave it that outback feel but sitting out on a wonderful night having a few cold beers with some of the locals and friends made it just a great night. Defiantly no complaints.

This is always a stopping point on our trip to weipa, this road house has all you need, home style food, cold beers and camping grounds. Every year we travel to Cape York to go fishing and visit friends. The friendly welcome and country hospitality is something you will always find in these parts of Australia.

This is an oasis in the middle of nowhere. I camped here while travelling on motorcycle, so carrying only bare essentials. The facilities were great, I could get a shower, a beer and feed. The staff were extremely friendly, and chatting to other travellers was great as well. My stop there will remain a fond highlight of my ride for Melbourne.

Room Tip: Camp in the paddock!

We stayed at this roadhouse on our way heading to the tip of Cape York. It has brand new rooms and are suitable for the family.. Highly recommended for a stop as you are travelling up the Cape. The kids loved the farm atmosphere and the friendly cows.

Given the remote location and the quality of the accommodation in this part of the world I didn't have great expectations, but I was genuinely pleased with my stay and felt that compared to everywhere they made a real effort to provide value for money, decent accommodation and food. We stayed in what a appeared to be a newly built room which was comfortable, modern, clean and with all the mod cons. The food was good value and well cooked. All the staff were friendly and customer focused. I would strongly recommend including this as a stop on your travels in the Cape York Peninsula!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for one of the new rooms.

Whilst traveling FNQ pleasantly surprised at the cmping. Bathrooms clean, cheap cost adn the stars were amazing. The lagoon at the back was a pleasant surprise, even if the freshwater crocs prevent swimming
