Check in opens at 7.30am. Check out is 10am. female bathroom upstairs and another downstairs. It's being currently ran by girls who live within the hostel and working there for money. They're always keeping it clean. There's a swimming pool that's nice. It's very quiet and there's people whom have lived there for months and still there. The rooms themselves are of a good size. It's a little run down but for the price, you cannot complain at all. It's one of the cheapest hostels in Brisbane I've found.

The biggest thing is the convenience. It's 10-15 mins walk to Roma St station (depending how much you carry) which is the main changeover for buses and trains. The facilities are also not bad--I find that it could be better lit (but it's not bad) and the bathrooms are decent but cramped. However, the lounge room is reasonable and the kitchen looks like it is too (I only stayed a handful of nights over about 3-4 stays and didn't cook). There's surprisingly a good amount of outside space to chill out, and yes there is a pool. So yes it was reasonable and I wouldn't mind staying here again.

What a lovely hostel. A friend and I stayed in a twin room for 1 night and a few weeks later we stayed again for 3 nights on our way home. It's a very convenient location, 10 mins walk away from 'Coles' Supermarket, 15 mins to Roma Street Station for easy trains to the airport and 20 mins to town. The staff have been very friendly, accommodating and super organised. The place is clean and tidy with homely rooms and bedding. We had a fridge in our twin room which was handy. The communal kitchen was small but there was another bigger kitchen inside the main house. Lovely clean communal shower/ toilet with plenty of hand soap and hot water. I can't speak for any of the other rooms, but for the twin room: All in all a great stay and I'd certainly stay there again.

This Hostel is, without any doubt, the best I've stayed in since I'm in Australia.
4 beds dorms, small and quiet hostel, friendly staff and people staying there, reasonable prices, everything you need to feel "home".
There is a nice swimming pool, comfortable beds and a relaxing TV-Room.
And what I love, there is a "cold water dispenser/fountain" in the living room :D

But still, like everywhere, there are a couple of things who could be perfected !
- The soap in the bathroom is mixed with water (what I can understand) but, some weeks, it's only colored water, no more soap in those bottles.
- The laundry is only one washing machine and one dryer (that staff and guests have to share) so, it's just always busy. (And of course the staff has the priority to use it)

But I still give 5 stars to that hostel, cause in Brisbane, you could not find better... !

I've spent my entire stay in Brisbane at Aussie Way. A great little hostel with a very home-like feel. Having traveled solo for the majority of my time is Australia it was great to find such a wonderful place to settle down for a bit and make new friends. The building is rather old but its not the hostel that makes it great, its the people.

-4 Bed Dorms
-Fridges in the room
-Pool
-Pretty receptionists
-Close to nightlife, movie theatre, grocery store, train station
-10 minutes from the Brisbane Transit Centre
-10-15 minutes from Downtown/State Library
-occasional quiz night

All in all, defiantly one of the best hostels i have said in during my travels in Australia.

I stayed in Aussie Way whilst in Brisbane and I have to say it was great. I have stayed in quite a few other hostels in Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney and this one is the best by far.

In the rooms there are 4 beds per dorm with a fridge in each room. Rooms are clean with lockers, aircon, fan and a little desk.
In the communal areas there is Foxtel with plenty of channels to choose from. Nice pool to relax in during the hotter weather and for us smokers there is a nice smoking area outside.

Both the staff and other guests are very friendly and it really does feel like a shared house as opposed to a hostel. Its true that it isnt a party hostel but if you want somewhere to chill and meet new people then this is the place. Occasionally some of the other guests do a little quiz night which is a great way to meet people. Its only a 15 min walk into the city, there is a Coles with some nice bars and restaurants about 5 mins away (I recommend the Caxton & The Paddo :-) )

This is a hostel that should be seriously considered if you are coming to stay in Brisbane.
