Wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a great night out in Brisbane. Chose the new Emporium, and could not have been happier.
With a budget in mind, decided on the base level room with views out toward Ipswich. Nevertheless, the room was magnificent -- beautifully appointed, major TV/audio set up (read the manual - it's a bit tricky) -- a marble bathroom with a shower big enough for the front row forwards.
The AV installations throughout the property are worth the visit. There is a 50 metre long, high definition display at the entry, a lift with a wall and floor display that will knock you out (and you walk on it!), plus a gigantic screen at the bar on the roof.

The roof level bar is unbelievable -- in addition to the big display, there is a light show that doubles as a marble floor! -- but get there early because it is super popular and you might not get a seat. They are currently working hard to match the staffing with the crowds, so you may need to be patient.
The staff are exemplary - very helpful and accommodating. The concierge got us a rare table at a local popular fish restaurant on Saturday night, and the GM himself was on the floor until nearly 10 pm on Saturday.
We enjoyed the roof top buffet for breakfast, and had a leisurely morning around the South Bank area, which is really becoming a "must visit" destination.
All in all, an outstanding evening and morning, and highly recommended.

We stayed in the exquisite room. We had a built in bar area in our room. Massive robe area, and a bath that over looked the river. Shower was huge with 3 shower heads. Automatic curtains that opened as you walked in to your room, just brilliant! Staff went above and beyond, always greeting you. Valet parking was perfect for the extra added luxury to our holiday. I have stayed at 5 and 6 star hotels in Australia before, and this by far beats them all!
This will be my go to hotel when we go to Brisbane!

A beautiful addition to Southbank.

We had a wonderful overnight stay from the warm and friendly check in to the stunning twin rooms we stayed in.

We had afternoon cocktails by the pool and an early morning swim with poolside delivered coffee it was wonderful!

We had breakfast at Belle Époque which was again fantastic!

We wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

Fantastic rooftop bar area, beautifully decorated. One of the best rooftop views in South Brisbane, and most photographed!
I will go back and definitely recommend. But, I do want to say that, although the hotel had only been open for a short time, surely the hotel expected the rooftop bar to be popular and busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon/evening. It was very clear the staff were new, to the point of being unsure how to do some things, like giving change for drinks, that basic. You had to wait too long to get a drink. Food service also very slow. We were told the hotel was full, and there were several functions on within the hotel, but hotel did not seem prepared for the crowd. All that being said, go, treat yourself, it is beautiful! And you’ve got to check out the wallpaper in the Ladies loo!!

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, not long after it opened. Its a lovely hotel and the staff were very friendly. We tried the rooftop restaurant for lunch, after checking in, and wasn't disappointed. The pool looked awesome, but it was drizzling with rain so we didn't use it.
