Cheap, clean and functional with a good location, but does not even have an elevator, so if you are unlucky enough to get a room above the ground floor you will have to carry your bags up the stairs. Beware of this.

Hi Gordon766, Thank you for your review on our Hotel. We too would love to see an elevator in our Hotel. Not having one does enable us to keep costs lower. If you have trouble with stairs or have lots of luggage guests can phone ahead or email us and we will be happy to allocate a ground floor room when ever we can. We hope to see you stay with Ibis Budget again in the future.

It was indeed budget but as it was just overnight it wasn't too much of an issue. It was difficult to find eating places close by other than ethnic or pizza. Was clean. No lift so have to be prepared to carry bags upstairs.

Room Tip: The rooms are very small and might be awkward for two older people in room. Not much more than a ba...

Stayed here for three nights. Great value and great location. I'm an Accor member so paid less than $100 for Room and Breakfast. Rooms have been upgraded a little from when it was a Formule 1 and there are some nice additional touches like free tea and coffee and the ability to 'swipe and pay' at the vending machines (saves hunting for coins). Don't expect a massive room. Breakfasts were simple but adequate (fruit, juice, toast, cereal and yoghurt plus a decent coffee machine). Location is close to airport. about a 3km (half hour) walk to Toombul Shopping centre. The Airport DFO is only a few hundred metres away complete with supermarket, bar and bottle shop but unfortunately there is no pedestrian access (I dodged the traffic on the freeway and jumped a fence to get there). Overall a great stay and the staff were keen and friendly. Shuttle available to the Airport for your flight.

Stayed overnight during transiting through Brisbane to Perth. Nice and close to airport. Small rooms almost like a ships cabin but bigger. Still very clean. Handy vending machines where u can buy food that can then go into the microwave. Great idea for travellers. Coffee machine as well yay!! Would recommend to stay for brief visits. Might be a bit cramped for long stays. Decent price range.

I had a stopover here last week. I forgot to ask if there is a free shuttle to get here! I paid $18return, still good value. I arrived at 4pm and was efficiently checked in by lovely young girl. My only advice would be for her to explain to guests their options for dinner. As I am a returning guest I knew Racecourse road was only a short taxi ride away and I decided it was such a beautiful afternoon that I would walk it. It took approximately 30minutes, each way. I came back to a warm clean room, got a great nights sleep and was off relatively early the next day. I used the vending machine in the foyer to purchase water, didn't have breakfast this time.
Thanks for a comfortable stay
