Very good displays. Interesting area on dinosaurs. The museum is spread out and is very easy to navigate. The displays are well set out and detailed. Well worth the visit and not just somewhere to go on a rainy day. Interest for the kids as well

An interesting day wandering through the museum with my granddaughter, she particularly liked the dinosaurs and the science section.

The museum is beautiful however, the secrets of the tomb items were imactulate but the display and ambiance lacked charisma, museum officals were constantly walking around with spray and wipe bottles and wiping the display cabinets, it's a paid exhibit with no headpiece explanations and a lot of replica items, simple things could have made the experience more valuable. They could have separated the room and displayed the items in a story setting with music and headpieces explaining each item. The plastic chairs were not required and a shorter 3d movie would have been more interesting, there were at list 8 different museum officials and not one explaining their inspiring the guests. Come on brizi we can do much better maybe a few tips from our big sister Melbourne would have made the experience more memorable for its paid guests. One more thing it's extremely hard to locate anywhere on the Internet, that tickets can be purchased on arrival as there are sessions every half an hour! Perhaps this piece of important information would intice spontanious people looking for something fun to do in the city to fill up the quite midweek sessions. It's a beautiful exhibition but it has so so much more potential, as is it really should be free or 10 per head maximum!

Hard to believe this place is FREE .You could spent days here, wonderful exhibits from all eras and areas, some are "hands on" .
If you're spending time in Brisbane , either residing or a visitor, the museum is a must, nothing stuffy or boring here. this is a great place to visit with or without kids.
Some of the stuffed animals and things in glass bottles have had their use by date, in my opinion, but to each his own.
Definitely a "must"do.
