We stayed 2 nights in October and generally enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and functional and quite spacious. Location was convenient and parking easy. In rooms amenities were good (eg toiletries good). The hotel is still very new and probably needs to learn a little more about finishing with the finer details. We requested a vase for flowers but had to make do with an ice bucket... there was no acoustic or light seal under the doors so we were awoken by others returning to their rooms... and the pillows were too high and we didn't sleep comfortably... they could probably so with some 'medium' thickness ones.
Breakfast was bacon, eggs and toast with juice... good value for the included rate, plenty of newspapers to read.

Room Tip: I always ask to be located away from the lifts.. we were the second last room so they had done well to accommodate.

Fantastic, clean hotel with very helpful staff. I stayed at this hotel prior to catching a flight following a 15 hour drive. Realising the time I would be checking in, a staff member contacted me and let me know that as no one would be on reception at that time that a key would be left for me in their external safe.

The room was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. It was not particularly close to the airport and I wasn't able to explore the surrounding area considering I was only there for a few hours but I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for one night for a business trip, and we regretted not having organised to stay longer. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and well appointed, with all the modern conveniences of a new hotel. The location is fabulous, as you are right in the heart of Toowong, just give yourself plenty of shopping time. The downstairs bar is small, intimate and very chic.
Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel, and look forward to coming back again when we can spend more time enjoying the other fabulous facilities the hotel provides, including the downstairs restaurant.

Had a great four day stay at the Jephson, walking distance to river pathway and City Cat. A studio apartment room with really comfy bed. Shopping, train and buses really close by, extra friendly staff, great food both at the hotel and nearby and the cheapest hotel cooked breakfast I have ever encountered. Will definitely return. Unlike the previous reviewer I found the staff to be extremely helpful. Having to pay for the internet is annoying but not uncommon in Australian hotels. Hotel is on a busy road which meant that the balcony was quite noisy. If you don't need to be in Brisbane City or want a change from high rise hotels would definitely recommend you consider the Jephson.

My husband and I stayed here for a week prior to our wedding in Brisbane. We had a top floor room, what was called a "Business" room. We found it very affordable in comparison to other hotels in the area we had stayed at, but apart from a clean, modern look, there was nothing exceptional or special about it. They had a balcony with a table and chairs, where we took our take-aways to eat. Nice atmosphere, but no real view.

It has a restaurant/bar on the bottom floor, but it is extremely (!) overpriced. This restaurant also offers room service, but we did not try it. It was ridiculously expensive, and across the street is a Coffee Club, where you can get breakfast for half the price and free internet.

Jephson doesn't have free internet, which for the area is silly to pay for. Like I said, across the road, there is free internet for the price of a coffee. The local area is good, the hotel is about a 5 minute walk to two big supermarkets and the local shops with a Department Store. Not far from the city or the hospital either.

We had told the hotel we were getting married and on the day when we left (in a wedding dress and military uniform), the hotel said they had no clue we were getting married, despite SEVERAL times we told them while making the reservation. The lady at the desk was quite sweet when we came home after the wedding, but at no time did anyone offer to call us a taxi or if we needed anything. Apparently there was another wedding the same day and their experience was very different.
