Rooms are a lovely size and very comfortable for a family. The hotel is right
In the city centre, great for shopping as you can get the elevator from street level up to the hotel to drop off your bags before you get your second wind! The executive lounge staff always remember our names and our children, even if we haven't visited for
5 or 6 months. It's just lovely having that level of personal attention making the customer feel valued and special.

We always stay at the Hilton when we are in Brisbane. The staff are great and it is in an ideal location for public transport, shopping, galleries and restaurants. We have recommended this hotel to friends who have also enjoyed the experience.

Boxing Day sales and a hotel right in the queen street mall - all in all another great stay for pleasure this time instead of business. Room was not available upon early arrival but was available by midday - still earlier than official check in. Luggage was stored and then delivered to room all with efficiency

Room Tip: We love to stay around the mid floor area if not staying in the executive floors. Ask for a room wit...

Thank you for your insights on Tripadvisor about your boxing day visit to the Hilton Brisbane. What better place to make the credit card go into overtime than being right on top of Queen Street. It certainly does look like you've enjoyed your time with us.

I booked a 2-night stay at Hilton in Brisbane for my wife and I ( regular visitors ) between xmas and new year to allow time to shop for my wife and enjoy a weekend away in Brisbane and take advantage of those sales in the city . Arrived around 11.30am at check-in to a rather long queue and after 6/7 minutes was advised that the room would not be available till around 2pm and that hotel would phone us to advise . We went shopping until call came from hotel. On entering the room ( 916 ) I required a quick visit to the bathroom , only to observe pubic hair on the rear of the toilet seat , long hair on the vanity , cigarette ash ? on the floor and the toilet tissue roles not folded , so I hurriedly visited the lobby toilet - Is this the Hilton , a 5 STAR HOTEL ?
We called housekeeping , who arrived and cleaned the bathroom for us . Thanks ! We then had trouble switching the standard light on in the room , until I screwed the lamp fully in , however I noticed the lead was damaged and the test-tag was 5 months out of date as were all other electrical tagged appliances in the room , I needed a drink , BUT , the bar fridge was found to be completely empty. Thanks ! .
Later that evening whilst in bare feet I walked under the A/c vent and stood on a sharp object within the carpet causing a sharp pain to the ball of my heel . We called housekeeping again then eventually a hotel engineer came , finding the sharp object , he cut the carpet and extracted a 20mm x 10g self tapper metal screw , I kid you not ! . Thanks !
Hotel manager phones and offers me his apologies advising that the room had been re-carpeted some 18 months back , so the screw had been laying there patiently to entrap me for that length of time . Thanks ! . We were provided with coffee and cheese platter and a complimentary in-house movie , Thanks ! .
I switched off our room A/c prior to bed and we endured a very poor sleep with constant airflow noise from Elizabeth Street side of room 916 .
On awakening after our first night 4.15am ! - Thanks ! , I examined the window frame as to why the windows allowed so much noise into the room , and found a long gap between the hinged window and fixed window frames , a gap that you could poke a pen through for about half a metre . That explained why we were part of the street activity and noise all night , not to mention we were close to the hotel cooling tower , a 24/7 operational piece of equipment . Thanks ! .
Hotel manager had provided us new room cards that provided us with access to executive level , so off we went to breakfast up to level 25 . Soon after my wife felt she required a bathroom visit in a hurry , so decided to return to our room . Elevator arrived , scooped her up but her keycard would not allow her to access any destination , the car took her for a drive stopping on many floors on the way down , delaying her immediate need to visit our room . Eventually another guest had keyed a car to level 9 , so my wife was able to depart the car and rush to our room . The new keycard would not allow her access . Gees Thanks !!!! . My wife then panicked , ( and here I was selfishly entertaining myself at breakfast ) , and decided to attempt to ride down to the main lobby , there would be a toilet there she could use , and by now she was really desperate .
On completion of her toilet visit , she visited the reception desk and advised them of her predicament , and they were able to rekey her card so she could return to our room . And that's where I found her , very distressed after a stomach upset , possibly from the cheese supplied the previous evening . THANKS ! . My wife was in such a state , she asked that we leave the hotel and travel back home immediately .
I phoned front desk and advised staff that we had had enough of Hilton hospitality and that my wife's latest incident was the last straw . We came to the Hilton to enjoy a pampered stay , however this was no longer possible nor excusable and we were unwilling to accept any more apologies .
Thanks Hilton Brisbane for our ( wonderful ) stay .
We departed after advising the hotel manager and requested that any costs related to our stay be immediately refunded and that we be welcomed back by the hotel under better circumstances with a complimentary stay at some time in the future when management and supervision of the hotel and it's facilities are no longer a game of chance .

Thank you for your extensive review of your recent visit to the Hilton Brisbane. Your experience is certainly not a reflections of the standards the team at the hotel aims to achieve consistently and I apologise for any inconvenience and distress experienced.

As we are in contact with you direct, I do hope a mutually suitable outcome will be found for you to experience our hotel again in future and see our facilities and services in a much more positive light. To that extent I do hope we will have the chance of welcoming you again soon.

Really good hotel in terms of service and location.

It is centrally located and near to all the major sites. Really close if you want to take a river taxi across the river to go eat at the snazzy restaurants (take the red ferry taxi as it is free rather than the blue) and also close to the train station.

You will see loads of transport co's selling you packages to the Australia Zoo such as greyhound or private operators but the cheapest by far is taking the train from Central to Beerwah where a free Oz bus collects you. They even have a phone terminal for you to call the zoo when they get there and they will come out and get you. This will save at least 50 dollars per person than other transport packages. They then drop you off at the station when you want to go home.

Back to the hotel......extremely good staff and whils they were checking us in they had already organised for all bags to be delivered to our room....which was a nice touch. The rooms aren't massive but functional and clean. The brekkie is extremely good and like all good Hilton's it is a traditional big buffet.

Checkout was also slick. Only downer was the concierge boys who were extremely slow in getting us a taxi...it took us nearly 30mins to get a taxi but we managed to get one in the end.

Still a really good hotel and worth staying.

We were lucky enough to stay at the Hilton Brisbane after booking a Wotif Mystery Deal, and felt this was a treat for us for Christmas.

Let's start with the positives... great location (tick), lovely rooms with a comfy bed (tick), and quiet in the room so able to get a good night's rest (tick), amazing view to City Hall which was decorated with a Christmas laser show (tick).

Sadly, it would appear that the staffing (overall, but most noticeable in the food and beverage areas of the hotel) were reduced over the Christmas period. This really is the main reason that brings down the overall rating for this hotel. The waiting times were really poor, and only on one occasion were they acknowledged (to the extent that we were not charged for the coffees ordered which took > 30 minutes to arrive). The lack of staffing in particular at breakfast buffet was concerning both in terms of inability to clean tables, and also a lack of food offered.

Two tips:
- breakfast buffet is cheaper if you go to reception first and ask for a breakfast voucher (saved a little over $10 each versus if we'd just gone to the restaurant)
- even at $55 a night, the valet parking is the best value that we could find for Brisbane (guessing expensive parking overall)

Despite the review and comments, we probably would stay at the hotel again in future.

We decided to have an 'adult Christmas' staying in the city for Christmas Eve. The Hilton is well situated in city mall for last minute shopping, city churches for midnight services and Christmas city attractions at the City Hall, shop windows and the ambiance of Christmas in the city at night.
