This is a great hotel for staying at when in Brisbane on business or weekend away. The neutral clean tones and natural light flowing into the atrium lobby/restaurant from above set an ideal tone for that lunch/afternoon meeting. The central location means access to trains, buses, city attractions and most business meeting venues are just a short walk saving you valuable time. During my stay I had the opportunity to evaluate the following:

Vintage Bar

The staff always had a smile on their face with attentive service and presentation of drinks from the simplest to complex cocktails was outstanding. Exceeding expectations.

Room Service

From staying at other hotels I often avoid using room service because of the low expectations but I gave it try at the Hilton and was surprised at the speed, quality and added touch upon delivery with staff asking me if I needed anything else.

Front Desk

Service was acceptable for this calibre hotel however it did not exceed expectations like the Food & Beverage outlets. Was not sure why the front desk clerk could not have given me a discount breakfast voucher upon check. They mentioned something about picking it up in the morning from the front desk which sounded like double handling, wasting time and consequently I did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Housekeeping

Quality control definitely needs to be improved as I noticed a few hairs on the shower wall and bathroom wall from a previous guest which really is not acceptable for this type of hotel. I only noticed this late at night so couldn't be bothered complaining but I am sure if I did something would have been done.

Room in General

Generous room sizes in standard rooms and great views on higher floors. My only suggestion is the size and quality of TV's are dated (TV's are not internet capable) and need to be replaced to reflect the high quality Hilton brand.

Bottom line if you can obtain a great deal this would be the number 1 hotel to stay in Brisbane.

Room Tip: Request a high floor room the views and rocketing lift ride with views of the atrium are amazing

Traveled for business for 3 nights. I was fairly tired of the noise levels and lack of service in the serviced apartment category that dominate Brisbane's accommodation options so i have been trying different hotels for the past few trips.

Hilton was fantastic, very clean, very well trained staff and good service from check in to check out, just how a good brand named hotel should be! Its not a "beautiful" showpiece hotel however it is very clean and modern.

The decor was clean and modern, little touches are great for business travelers like good quality desk, chair, mouse pad etc. all these things do make a difference. The bed was very comfortable with crisp clean linen. Breakfast was very good, one of the freshest and nicest buffet i have had at any Australian chain hotel recently.

Location is fantastic and one of the benefits. You can exit onto the mall or to Wintergarden so it would be difficult to find a better located hotel in Brisbane city.

My only gripe is no free wifi......when your paying $200 a night then its such a small thing to include. Really in this day and age it should be a no brainier and be offered as standard inclusion. C'mon Australia time to catch up with other countries offering this.

All in all; highly recommended.

We are indeed privileged with our central location and great to read that you had a restful sleep in our comfortable beds for which we get a lot of compliments.
As you state, within Hilton Hotels worldwide we do charge for Wifi in our guest rooms as in many comparable hotel chains around the world and several other hotels in Brisbane's CBD. A wonderful hotel in the heart of the city - rooms ultra fresh, modern and stylish. I loved the location, just a skip to the shopping precinct, yet peaceful after a days work. Reception very helpful and the rear entrance for taxi drop offs great. Really comfortable bed, a great nights sleep and a good shower.

Room Tip: Smile and make friends with the front reception team.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times for business in Brisbane. Location right on Queen Street mall can't be beat for visitors. Lots of dining and shopping options in the area and a great farmer's market that happens a couple times a week is a few blocks away. Walkable distance to the other side of the river which is a very nice area. Hotel itself is very nice, quiet lobby and offers spectacular views of the city from the higher floors.

For a hotel that has been around a few years, the Brisbane Hilton shapes up rather well. The Atrium look is always fascinating (ask for a high room!). The hotel is not flash, but nor is it photocopier salesman dreadful. Nice and central, this hotel ticks all the day to day boxes.
