“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2012

The Ibis Brisbane was spacious and immaculate. It was an extremely quiet location - no road noise or noise from adjoining rooms. Staff were very helpful. It is ideally located to the city, railway station and the river.

Effeciently ran hotel. Beware the times for the restaurant, don't turn up with only 15 minutes to go, they get cranky. Why say they are open until 9 pm if they want to stop serving at 8:45! The hotel staff were very apologetic, maybe they just hve cranky kitchen staff.

The Ibis Brisbane proved to be central to our visit to the Art Gallery, Museum, Casino
Farmers Market Wed afternoon, South Bank and South Brisbane Railway Station where
we caught the Sky Train back to the Airport. We also travelled by train to the National Archives on the Cleveland line and by bus and ferry to McCleay Is to visit a 93 year old to investigate some family history. The hotel I think has been recently modernized and the
room spacious with plenty of desk space. The bar and dining areas were informal and the friendly staff made our dining experience pleasant . The Snapper was perfectly cooked and the risotto the next night wasn't too bad either. Thanks Ibis.

The room was big and clean. Great location! The restaurant quality surprised at dinner and was fine for breakfast with good service and pricing. The only thing that could be improved on was the mattress, much too hard for my liking

We had a good sized room with a queen size bed (221), and found the front desk staff to be very helpful.
The location is great and removes the need to have a rental car. It is an easy walk to the shops and restaurants and to Southbank.
We caught the train from the airport to Roma street (15.50/person) and it is a <10min walk to hotel.
Alternatively you could take a taxi at around $45.
The restuarant served well priced and tasty food, but we noticed was not open on Saturday or Sunday night - not that this bothered us as there were alot of other choices outside the hotel.
We pre-booked the buffet breakfast ($16/person) which was excellent value and had a large range of choices.

Room Tip: 221 larger than most.
