I stayed at the Ibis Brisbane, on a mid-March weekend. I got a very good rate on the Accor website, with a $5 breakfast upgrade. This is not a standard Ibis hotel interior. The rooms and bathrooms are larger than normal Ibis's and I got a balcony on the 16th floor. Rooms and corridors are nicely decorated and beds are very comfortable. When I stayed there were two lifts working, and one under renovation. This worked OK. The TV has the standard Freeview digital channels plus a few cable channels, mainly sport. Nothing in other languages and no BBC or CNN. There is a nice iHome iphone dock radio but unfortunately you need to download special software onto the iphone to make it work so I couldn't use it.

Breakfast was a reasonable quality hot breakfast but with stale fruit and muesli, but unfortunately on my two night stay, it was so busy and so understaffed that there often no plates, or glasses out and food trays in the bain marie were empty sometimes and replacements undercooked.

Internet is available, but unfortunately at a high additional daily fee.

The Ibis is a few steps down from George St on Turbot St and close to a pedestrian footbridge over the river to the Arts and Cultural precinct. Very near the new Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). Roma St railway station is about five minutes walk along George St and you can get the Air Train to the Airport from here.

Great location at the heart of the city, just a few footsteps to bar and restaurants. Only one elevator can be used, people all complaining on the floor for waiting and prefer to walk down by stairs. Hotel room is not small as expected, but there was only one extremely small window on the side facing the business building nearby. The ambience is very suffocating and clastrophobic. The bed was very comfortable.

I stayed here for an overnight stay - I booked online directly with Ibis for a price of $119 for the room and for an extra $5.00 got the full buffet breakfast. I found the service at all points in my stay to be super friendly and super efficient - really really friendly staff here. I made the mistake of not booking the $5.00 breakfast at the time of my booking - no problem the reception team just did it for me anyway and advised the breakfast team in the restaurant.

The room was very clean and spacious and I enjoyed the bath (its a budget priced hotel which represents great value in the Brisbane CBD so I didn't grumble when there was no shower gel - but if you don't like soap you might want to bring some with you). I am a light sleeper and yes you can hear some noise through the walls but by the time I went to sleep it was all quiet and I didn't need my earplugs. In fact, I had stayed at the Urban the night before and the noise there was much much louder all through the night (note to self, check that I am not staying in an adjoining room next time). The breakfast buffet was extensive with plenty of food to choose from.

There are now 2 out of 3 lifts working there and I had no problem storing my case with reception (I was not asked to take it to the Mercure as some others have in previous reviews). I would definitely stay here again as it ticks the boxes of value for money, good clean rooms, close to the CBD and very good customer service.

The room is very spacious. There were two queen sized beds. Bathroom was clean but seemed a little outdated. Staff were nice and accommodating. We had a pleasant stay here and do recommend it. Location is handy to South bank and the Gallery of Modern Art is an easy walk across the pedestrian bridge.
There is a free city hop-on-hop-off ferry that can be taken from North quay for a pleasant ride along the brisbane river. There is plenty of shopping and dining within walking distance of the hotel.
Since the hotel is in the Brisbane cbd, free parking is not available. However, if you're not fussed about secure parking and need parking overnight only, there are some spots further up turbot street where parking is free from 7pm - 7am

Great situation for anyone wanting to be in the centre of Brisbane...easy to find, lovely big room and have nothing but praise for the accommodation and location. We also took advantage of the buffet breakfast which was most enjoyable and capped off what had been a delightful experience

The service I experienced was very good. The room was big and comfortable; however it was located opposite the elevators, so you could hear the occasional chatter while people were waited for the elevator. The location of the hotel was great and very close to Roma Street Public Transport Hub; and the amenities were good, particular the bath/shower and air conditioning kept the room at an even temperature. The only down side to my stay at Ibis Brisbane was the faulty elevator which only stopped at Ground or Top floors only, so there were long waits and the occasional call to reception to send an elevator to my floor.

It was a very convenient location and met our needs for a short stay in the city. We could access the Queen St Mall and Southbank easily.
Check in and check out were efficient.
Breakfast was quite good too.
