“Most comfortable bed in Brisbane”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Twice now I have been pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The front desk staff are very friendly. The restaurant a lovely ambience and food & menu variety is fantastic. The bar has relaxing music, comfortable couches & a pool table too. The bed & linen in our room was so comfortable I wanted to take it home. The location of the hotel is handy as it is about a 5 min walk to Queen St Mall or the same to the transit centre. Thanks ibis. Keep the special deals coming & we will be back for sure.

After a long journey from Switzerland we arrived at the hotel at around 9pm. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Check-in was done very quickly. The room (2 king-size beds) was perfectly clean and surprisingly quite considering the location in the city centre. The main shopping malls and the Southbank parklands are easily within walking distance.

I booked online at what seems to be a reasonable rate, and also emailed the hotel that I'd be arriving at 3am after an international flight.

This hotel is basic for a 3 star and is fairly basic in terms of service and fitout.

Arrived at the hotel at 2am, and had to bang on the door and ring the doorbell for 45 minutes to get in. Staff member looked worse for the wear, didn't great me just unlocked the door and went behind the counter. Asked to check out at 2pm tomorrow as I'd clearly had a late one and the staff member responded curtly 'I'd have to pay another day and the hotels full tomorrow so you cant'.

Aside from that room was clean, basically furnished, and I got some good sleep. Day shift crew were smooth and professional and breakfast was great.

I probably would pay the extra $30-$40 to stay at a 4 star next time, but if on a budget I'd return to the Ibis

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. It is with sincere regret that we note your dissatisfaction with our service. Here at the Ibis, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our quality policy. We can assure you that this incident will not occur again in the future, as our Front Office department has been made aware of the appalling service that was provided to you. In addition to this, training has been provided to all staff to ensure there is consistency across our high standards of service. It is through feedback such as yours, that we are able to maintain the quality of our service and identify areas for improvement.

Kind regards,

We stayed 2 nights at the Ibis whilst in Brisbane for the Pink Concert. The property is well maintained and in an excellent location. Only a small walk to the train station to go to Brisbane entertainment centre & walking distance to the city mall. The service was outstanding and when we requested extra supplies for our room they were delivered within minutes each time. We stayed in a room with a small balcony with a nice view. We paid $27 per day for the car parking which was close to the hotel. I would recommend and stay again in the future.

Stayed there for one night (Saturday) to go to the Brisbane Ekka as it was handy to public transport as we came by train, it was an easy walk to and from the train station to catch the train to the Ekka. The room was clean comfy and quiet, the staff could not be more helpful. The only 2 things on the downside where that the restaurant was not open on Saturday night and there for no room service and the last thing was no complementary biscuits to go with your cuppa. I would stay there again. This hotel was great value as we got this as a wotif mystery hotel deal.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Ibis Brisbane. We are delighted to have made a positive impact on your experience at the hotel.
It is a pleasure to read that you enjoyed our friendly staff and central location. We pride ourselves on having caring and efficient service from our frontline teams. Unfortunately the Ibis Restaurant is closed for dinner service over the weekend. However all guests are able to purchase items off our ‘Grab it and Go’ menu, or alternatively dine at our sister hotel, the Mercure Brisbane, which is only a hallway away.

Once again thank you for your feedback, I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel.
Kind regards,
