have stayed a few times while attending appointments to Brisbane private hospital. Always found staff pleasant and rooms neat and tidy... close to the hospital and CBD. Not too pleased that you have to pay for parking in the parking spaces under the motel

Hi.
Thanks for your positive feedback on your recent stay with us. Metro Hotel Tower Mill is certainly in the midst of the Springhill medical precinct and its something we keep in mind with our guests. In fact we offer a direct discount to those booking for medical purposes. Charging for carparking is just a sign of the times I'm afraid, we're much cheaper than the metered parks in the street but we don't include it in our room rates as we try to keep them as low as possible and give guests the option of an addtional $10 for parking or not. Regards Earl.

My partner & I were stuck in Brisbane for a night, unplanned due to flight complications & we were unable to get a room at our usual choice stays. My partner stumbled across this little spot for a cheap price & central location, which was all we wanted. The room was very basic - byo soap as there are no complimentary soaps, just a freaky in-shower gel dispenser which was kinda grotty. There was a huge wet patch on the carpet near the balcony door which was not from a leaking air-conditioner I might add. Queen Street Mall is just a stroll away which was great!! So for what we paid ($120) I think we did not too bad!

Stayed here while traveling for medical treatment. Extremely rude people on reception. Very noisey hotel throughout. Beds & table were broken in room, not fixed, not moved to another room. Taps in bathroom leaked, flooding the floor each day/night, again not fixed or moved to another room. Staff at breakfast were rude and ignorant. Tea/coffee in room was part of 'mini-bar' charges. Room was missed in daily cleaning/service. No toiletries stocked upon our arrival, nor during our stay, despite them being empty.

It is always very disappointing to hear of instances where people have had a less than satisfactory experience at our hotel. Though we never claim to be any other than a well located, well priced, comfortable, clean and friendly venue - it seems that your own experience was wihout any redeemign features at all, which of course is extremely regrettable. I do feel there may have been some communication issues at the bottom of this though. For instance Tea & Coffee is not, indeed cannot physically be, included or charged as mini bar. Similarly we have a daily mainteance and housekeeping staff available to repsond to any issues, so that even if things are missed or issues arise (and lets be honest it happens), they can be quickly rectified. So I do believe that your own experience does not mirror the standard one of our guests. We are fortunate to be a popular hotel with a strong repeat cleitnele and we do work hard to make this happen.

Stayed here one night and the rate was cheap for a reason. Rooms were old and worn and did not feel very clean. There is a pub downstairs and vending machines. Room service steak was not very good so should go out for dinner. I would probably stay again because of the price but would not take the wife and family.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the park.

In essence 'Cheap for a Reason' isnt an unfair summation but I realise its not meant entirely approvingly. We are an older style property, with plans afoot for a soft refurb of interiors, but cleanliness, affordability and customer service are a definite focus for us in order to balance any negatvie perceptions adn delvier a comfortable, friendly experience to our guests.

Staff were relatively friendly, room decent size but felt unclean. Wore shoes into bathroom as floor looked a bit gross. Noise from stairs and hallway is audible in rooms and the doors bang very loudly but cant avoid this as otherwise they don't close. On the plus side the bed was comfortable, it was extremely close to the CBD and was cheap. You get what you paid for. Cheap no frills. Probably wouldn't stay again unless desperate and wanted cheap accommodation

Room Tip: Try and ask for one as far away from the stairs as possible - very loud as you hear people going up and down talking all night
