We stayed here again because it is handy to the transit centre. We came of the Sunlander early afternoon and was able to get into the room. This place is so handy to everything. We were able to do all our washing before heading out again at 5.00am the next morning.

We had a problem with the washing machine in our accommodation but the ladies on reception pointed us to the quest laundry.

Found the accommodation tidy, bed sheets clean what more can you ask for. Ladies in reception very helpful.

Will stay again.

Sorry to hear that your washing machine wasn't working in the room, we have replaced the washing machine with a new one.

It was a pleasure having you and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

As other reviewers have already mentioned, the carpet is stained, the place is very dated and not well cleaned. I found the bed really uncomfortable. The location is very central, but the noise from the train and bus station could be heard from about 5am even with the windows closed.

I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here at Abbey On Roma.

We do understand that some of the rooms may need a slight refurb and we are slowly in the process of fixing up.

I am sorry to hear that the bed was uncomfortable for you. We would have been happy to move you to a room with a different type of mattress on the bed.

We also understand that it can be quite noisy, but we are right in the city and couldn't get a better location. Being right in the heart of the CBD there is bound to be noise.

We always try and accommodate your needs.

Hopefully we will see you again in the future for a better experience.

Regards,
Taya

Ok for price paid. Rooms could do with some upgrading. A little noisy but otherwise comfortable. Ladies at Reception were very friendly/helpful. Spa jets would not work and looked dirty. Location was excellent - straight across from buses and train station.

Abbey on Roma is all about the location. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and feel we chose well. The apartment oozed quality, in a functional no nonsense manner. It was comfortable and provided a great respite from the city. I would have paid more for this level of practicality and location which sums it up for me. City centre is only a short walk away, South Bank about 10 minute walk over a pedestrian bridge. City cat terminal about 15minute walk, but most importantly the Topless Hairdresser is virtually next door!!
OK even being 10 floors up doesn't insulate you from the noise, but hey City Centres are Noisy!

Room Tip: Lifts are quick and clean so go high.

I recently stayed at the abbey overnight while is Brisbane for work.. When I first arrived i noticed how dated my room was and the presence of old musty/mouldy smell.. Carpets where stained .. Chips off cabinetry and walls dirty .. The shower was dirty and has the experience of the whole tap falling off when showering ... However the bed was clean and comfortable ... The location is convenient and the staff were warm and welcoming

Handy to transport, city and south bank and QPAC. Good size apartments for a couple spending a few nights in Brisbane. This was our second stay at this venue. We will be using it every time we are in Brisbane. Great value for money.

First stop in Australia for us. We came directly from the airport to Abbey Apartments. Really tired after a 30 hour flight. So we were really grateful when they let us check in early (9 am). Then we could catch up with some sleep. The apartment was really nice! We got the Superior room, because we read that they were refurbished. We had a full kitchenette, with all you needed! Sofa area with a TV, right next to the balcony. One bedroom with a large bed, that was really comfy. Fresh bathroom with free toiletries. We also had a washing machine.
About 15 min walk to the city center. Food court close by in the station building, and a small café in the same building. Friendly staff, clean room, good value for your money. Nice extra with the pool area, even that the hot tub didn't work when we were there.
The only thing I would like was some free Wi-Fi, which most hotels/hostels have as a service today.

Room Tip: Chose the superior room, it's worth the extra money.
