Pros: Very near queen street mall, botanic gardens & southbank. Nice and spacious rooms with 2 tvs. Affordable

Cons: Bath had a constant smell although it looked clean. Lobby service is average

If you're travelling with small children, this is the hotel for you. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Coles or various take away food options. The one bed suites are affordable and provide a small kitchen with a washer drier and dishwasher for maximin convenience. The main room has a fold out bed-settee, which we found to be quite comfortable.
On the downside, it's not a new hotel, so there is some wear and tear here and there. However if you're with kids, it's kind of reassuring as you don't feel they're about to trash the place! ;)

Room Tip: One bed suites are all the same layout. Higher floors have great views.

Dear PhilipFromIreland, Many thanks for your comments and it is great to know that our hotel proved to be a comfortable and convenient option for you when travelling with family. As you have noted, the apartment-style configuration of our suites lends itself quite well to accommodating the 'little ones' - we understand that keeping them happy always sets the tone for the rest of the family's enjoyment! Kind regards and safe travels.

Dear SCKJTravel, Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that our location, staff and facilities continue to meet with your approval. Though our gym is of a relatively modest size, we have recently added some free weights and other equipment based on feedback, so it is nice to know this has proven popular. However, it is most often the attitude and friendliness of our staff which helps make a difference and we are pleased you found this to be the case. We look forward to seeing you again on your next business trip.

I was a victim of the very ordinary Virgin cancelled flight from Brisbane to Cairns. Virgin staff had no idea but the staff at the Sebel were great, knew their job and everything was 'doable' , room service was easy and arrived when i was told it would. Well worth the experience and I would stay here again anytime.

Dear Colin t, We are very pleased to hear that despite the unscheduled stopover, we helped make your journey more enjoyable. By nature, passengers from disrupted flights are often reluctant hotel guests, so it is even more important that our team do whatever they can to make them feel comfortable. It is great to know that we achieved this for you and we hope to see you again on another occasion - though hopefully involving some conscious planning next time. Thank you very much for your feedback.

The Synapse Creative team had a lovely overnighter at the Sebel Suites in Brisbane. The Executive apartment comes with stunning views and a balcony which allowed us to get some great shots which is what our main aim was to do. The hotel was extremely accommodating when booking as I explained this was our intention. The hotel is very convenient to clubs, cafes and restaurants. It was very clean and well appointed and the staff were only to happy to help.

Room Tip: Room 2902 has excellent views to Mount Cootha Southbank and Roma Street from the living areas then f...

We booked a premier balcony two bedroom suite. While it was close to the shops etc this is what we were after. It is very expensive for a basic motel room. They are not luxury but are very overpriced considering. Small balcony no seating, small bathrooms no room to move. We ate in the restaurant the staff were friendly, food was nice, the service was a bit slow considering there were not many people in it. We also got room service and that seemed to be extremely slow. It is very basic amenities considering the price, I would look elsewhere next time. We have stayed at the King George Sebel many times but tried this one as the other could not guarantee a balcony which we prefer and it is basically within the same walking distance. No WiFi for business travelers did have broadband but unless you have the modem is useless for the IPad which is the convienient way to travel nowadays.

A nice hotel but despite the name these are not suites, rather relatively small rooms. Adequate for a casual stay but certainly not for business or longer stays. The rooms are small with the table under the wall mounted television screen. This is impractical if working with the television on in the background.

The pool was cold but the surrounds do get some sun at certain times of the day and unlike many Brisbane hotels which provide 2 sun lounges, there were about 6. Pools are clearly for swimming and not relaxing.

The location is very central , only a block away from the main Queen St shopping mall, a couple of blocks from the casino, 3 blocks form the river side restaurants at Eagle St Pier and about an easy 20 -25 minute walk ( or 5 minute taxi ride) to South Bank where the enormous “beach swimming pool” and surrounding restaurants are a must on a hot lazy Queensland day.

In summary, a well located generic hotel room with adequate service and facilities.

Dear SaleenXTRM, thank you for your feedback and we are always happy to read balanced comments about guests' experiences. We are pleased to note you enjoyed our central location and other aspects of the hotel. Judging from your comment about the term "suites", you stayed in one of our studios. Whilst comfortable and of the same decor standard as our apartment 'suites', I am sure you will find the latter much more spacious and suitable for a longer visit. These comprise over 75% of our inventory, so in this sense we are more aligned with many 'all suite' hotels, as they are often termed. Please feel free to contact me personally and it would be my pleasure to upgrade you at no extra charge on your next visit. Thank you again for your valuable feeback.
