Took a 1B/R Apartment on advice from Management, booked direct with them and they gave us a really good deal of $495 for a 3 night weekender. The room was really large, comprising 1 Q/S Bed in a large room with own balcony, large bathroom, large full kitchen and larger lounge/dining room with a huge balcony overlooking the pool area below.

We booked a two bed apartment and got upgraded to a three bed apartment when we arrived at no extra cost, which was a pleasant surprise. We had a superb apartment on the 5th floor with amazing views of the river and Story Bridge. Although simply furnished, the apartment was well appointed and clean, with exceptionally good servicing provided (we never had to ask for clean towels). A couple of issues we raised were attended to straight away.

The apartment block has a very nice lagoon style pool area with attractive garden setting, and we found we could always get a sun bed as the facility is generally under used. There is a nice jacuzzi as well. This apartment block is well located, with easy access to the City by ferry and river side walk to South Bank (well worth doing). We enjoyed our stay here immensely and were well looked after. We had no problem with eating out or preparing our own meals (the Story Bridge Hotel next door has a couple of good restaurants and does excellent breakfasts at the weekends). There is a useful convenience store next door to the apartment block and a mini mart at nearby Dockside, but the nearest supermarkets are in the City. Good value for money overall.

We were stuck for accommodation later in our holiday after a visit to the Gold Coast, so asked if we could book back in at short notice. The owner was extremely helpful and let us have similar accommodation on the 7th floor. What more could we have wished for. I would book here again without hesitation.

We loved the large room with fabulous views of the city and Brisbane river and having self contained was great as we could do our own cooking if we felt inclined. The children enjoyed the lagoon style swimming pool - really beautiful and peaceful hard to believe you are in a city as very quiet area and walking around the river at night simply fabulous. Enjoyed the ferries very peaceful and romantic. Staff were friendly and nothing was a problem, very good restaurants just next door - all in all GREAT LOCATION and choice of accommodation just like your own home but with views and pool, gym, car parking all included.

Our family booked in for a holiday for 5 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment, it had all new furniture fabulous views and a large balcony that we enjoyed seeing the boats going by on the river and enjoying our evening meal, very friendly and helpful staff that helped us will all our enquiries. The swimming pool is a lagoon type and the best we have found in Australia while travelling around for 3 weeks. The area is great for going for walks or jogging around the river to either South Bank or the city, 2 parks the children can play in within a 5 minute walk, ferries to take you to either the city (3 minute ride $1.60) or do the all day ticket and see Brisbane from the river,
we will be back Quest Bridgewater.

We had a very large three bedroomed apartment on the first floor with a view over the pool area and river. There were some aspects which made our stay unpleasant. The carpets were very badly stained and also had food walked into it. The lounge furniture was faded and old. The walls and doors were dirty, probably evidence of a previous family with small children. The sink and dishwasher had a putrid smell. The washing machine was full of dirty water and was not releasing the water. Only the lounge/dining area is airconditioned. The fan settings in the main bedroom were not correct. The rates are reasonable but this apartment is definately not 4 star standard and management was not very accommodating. Steer clear if you want 4 star accommodation.

  • Liked — Large apartment with all amenities
  • Disliked — It was very shabby and most unpleasant to be in Apartment. Needs total refurbishement

We needed a place to stay with our two teenagers the night before leaving on a flight home after a two week trip through Queensland. Not knowing where to go, we ended up on the "otherside" of the stunning "Story Bridge".
We enquired at the Quest Bridgewater and the receptionist advised that she only had studio apartments available. We settled for two.

One was on the ground floor, no views, no balcony. This one was going to be for the kids.

Parents ended up on the 2nd floor, with a balcony, limited views.
We had to call housekeeping to hoover the carpet, as there was a lot of evidence of previous guests stays.... that was a bit off putting. Otherwise, the apartment was fine, with a kitchen which was more than adequate and a bathroom with shower. Not flash at all, just adequate enough for a one night stay.

Underground parking is provided free.
The pool area is good with a good sized pool and a spa. The area is shared with the surrounding apartments and not exclusive to the Quest.

around the corner is a convenience store which also does take aways and over the counter food.

a 10 minute walk from the complex is the ferry terminal where passenger only ferries leave to stops around the city. We went to the ...pier opposite where a number of excellent restaurants are located as well as easy access to Queenstreet, which is the main shopping street. We had not been to downtown Brisbane, and we liked what we saw and we decided to come back one day for a longer stay.
