My husband and I stayed overnight at the Sapphire Resort recently. We planned the majority of our time away at Surfers Paradise, but wanted to spend the day catching up with some friends in Brisbane. We didn't want to spend too much money, so I booked the Sapphire Resort on one of the last minute sites. For under $100 we got a nice clean, quiet room for the night. Staff at the reception desk were friendly and the room itself had a nice comfy bed, air con, Foxtel, mini fridge. Shower and toilet were very clean. It is a great location for anything showing at the Brisbane Convention Centre and the Qld Perfoming Arts Centre. It is close to Southbank Parklands, but still a fair hike from the city.
The oriental restaurant is fantastic, my husband said it was the best chinese food he had ever had.
The resort had a pool, but we didn't go down there.
The 'mould' mentioned in a previous review had obviously been removed - there was a company sandblasting when we got there.
I would recommend this place for an overnight or short stay, but not for a long stay.More
