“Best Blockout Curtains!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2013

The Point Brisbane is a pleasure to stay in!
I always enjoy my nights spent here for business and only wish I was up in Brisbane more often!

The staff greet you with smiles as you walk in to the modern and polished reception area. The hotel is always decorated with fresh flowers and candles.

The rooms are clean and spacious. I usually get a corner room which features the most comfortable King sized bed!

My favourite feature of the rooms is the thick curtain with large velcro strip which means the room is completely dark! I ofter work all night and this is perfect for sleeping during the day.

Lamberts restaurant is also great I have had the breakfast buffet and room service on many occasions. I am always pleased with the equality of food and service.

Room Tip: Corner suites have King size beds

"Thank you for booking our 2013 Riverfire Package at the Point Brisbane."

OK, hand up, I didn't read the small print, but I did purchase TWO Executive Suite Riverfire packages in advance for some $1100 that included evening meal and a 12:00 checkout, oh yes, and a voucher for one free drink each. I was amazed to find we were charged an additional $116 for a buffet breakfast for 4 people! The assistant managers attitude was that the evening meal was included instead of the breakfast and was otherwise not unduly concerned that I'd be on Trip Advisor about his 'Package'. My fault entirely of course, but I felt that a 'Package', and not a cheap 'Package' at that, would have included the breakfast. The rooms are clean but not the best Executive Suites I've stayed in and would not warrant the high room rate without breakfast included. The experience changed an expensive treat into an over priced, over-rated night out I'm afraid. I would not stay there again. I run holiday accommodation myself, I always feel it's worth listening to your guests instead of just taking their money. I won't go into the lack of room service...

Room Tip: We were overlooking the end of Story Bridge from our room.

First impressions make a hotel stay - from the time we entered the foyer my partner and I felt at home. We were greeted by a smile that actually felt genuine and we were eased through the checking-in without a fuss.
We had booked a Junior Suite for the weekend which included a wine and cheese platter on arrival. The room was spacious, well appointed, spotless and warm. The king size bed was comfy with to die for pillows.
One of the beauties of this location is the closeness to the Brisbane river and associated walks along the river as well as the number of restuarants in the Dockside precinct. It has the feeling of being well outside the hustle and bussle of the CBD but being so close.
Breakfast was a full on buffet that had most tastes covered and the decor and scenery just left you feeling relaxed without too many interruptions from the staff.

I would have no hesitation in reccommending this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

We stayed at The Point for one night in September 2013. The room we stayed in was on the 7th floor overlooking the Story Bridge which was lovely. The decor in the room was nice and the bed was comfy. The only negative I could really offer was that there was a strange smell coming from the bathroom; possibly from the drain (this could only be smelt when in the bathroom, not in the room). Except for that we had no worries, unlike other hotels in Brisbane parking was free which is awesome and there were ample spaces which was another positive. We would definitely stay here again.

We chose this Hotel for it's location. The City and Southbank were easily accessible via the free ferry. We took advantage of the 'Spring Special' and were very impressed with the inclusions. Late checkout, secure parking and a beautiful full buffet the next morning. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were clean. We found the Staff were very polite, friendly and extremely helpful when we needed directions. Overall we had a fabulous experience and would recommend this Hotel for your stay.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the better views, corner suites were not necessarily spacious even though the pic...

We spent the night of September 14 at The Point to celebrate my birthday. We had booked the "Spring Special" which included a bottle of wine & cheese platter on arrival, plus breakfast the following morning. We arrived early, around 1030am, planning to park in the public car park, and head over to South Bank till our room was ready. We were pleasantly surprised to find we were able to check in straight away, so proceeded to our room where we enjoyed the cheese platter and a glass of wine while looking at the views, beautiful! The bed was large and extremely comfortable, lovely big shower and free wifi as well. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were very helpful & friendly. The pool is beautiful too, just the right temperature!

We stayed here specifically recently just for pleasure. Checking in was really smooth.
The room was just terrific. After expecting something a lot less posh because of the low price we paid wee were very impressed with the quality of the room and the overall service. The restaurant had an amazing Jazz Duo called Out of Abingdon playing. Dinner was really nice, the service was great!
Breakfast was excellent and not over done. Great coffee!
We will definitely go and stay there again.

Room Tip: Floor 5 was great
