We recently stayed at The point Hotel for a night. Our room was lovely, very spacious with amazing views and a large balcony, the bathroom was beautiful. The staff are so nice and the breakfast is everything you could think of to eat. We have swum in the pool on other occasions, it’s in a nice sheltered position with lounge chairs and umbrellas. We love the location of this hotel as it’s easy to walk down to the river and get the free city hopper boat into the city or it’s a really nice walk along the river along to Southbank. Would highly recommend staying here, as we certainly will be back.

Wonderful position , next to waterways, major roads and shops of all descriptions. No matter where you wanted to go it was simple to work out. For the most part the hotel is simple in its lay out and any thing in the hotel itself except for how to get to the pool. Have to ask for directions. Once there every thing is great . BUT the poolside is not inviting to sit and dangle legs in, and left over tray of food off putting. Does no one come and check on these things.
Hotel lobby as well as exterior give a modern fresh look. However beware the floor tiles as they can be dangerous if wet. Rooms are spacious, bed was good and if there was a fan in the bathroom then it was the quietest I have ever (not) heard. Room service was efficient..Garage was easy to park and negotiate.
Now for the clangers.
One TV in the lounge and another in the bedroom, restricted channels which I understand but sound so bad you have to put on maximum to hear .Bad reception another problem.Had better TV in the small motel in Bundaberg and all other motels we stayed at.However my biggest beef was the night we arrived.
got in about 5.45, signed in and asked reception if we were presentable enough to have dinner. She said no problem.Went down to Lamberts..Waited to be seated when Luke approached. Asked him for a table for 3 and he lost it by telling us we did not have a reservation, or dressed, he was full. Told my family lets go. He changed, got a table but never ate there again..Bad attitude

First time at this lovely hotel. Room very spacious, clean and comfortable. In a quiet location but still close to everything. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was great with lots of options.
Would definitely come back again.

What a great hotel
Fantastic location, free shuttle service to the free ferry service, what more could you ask for transport wise!
The rooms are spacious, very clean, fantastic views, comfortable beds and pillows, with lovely toiletries in the huge bathroom, with separate shower and bath.
Turn down service nightly with a chocolate left on pillow.
We had a lovely buffet breakfast and enjoyed drinks at the bar downstairs as well as cocktails on the roof top at Eagles Nest.
Wonderful staff, who were really friendly and helpful.
This hotel was so great, that we came back ten days later and stayed for another two nights.

Everything about the hotel was lovely - check-in was friendly, concierge arranged transport, comfortable room and amenities. Unfortunately, the jackhammers commencing at 7.03am caused us to check out at 7.15 - not the hotel's fault but ruined our post-wedding reception sleep-in.
