“Weekend in Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

I chose to stay here for a weekend in town during Riverfire. Was very clean, had great facilities and wasn’t to far of a walk form Queen street itself. The kitchen was large and accommodated for the amount of people staying in the hostel.

I've stayed at the YHA for the second time now. Rooms are clean and tidy. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Suncorp Stadium is just a short walk away. It's also close to all of the restaurant's and bars on Caxton St.

I stayed 2 nights in 4 share dorm and 2 night in ensuite double. Both were excellent. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hostel is quiet (not a nightmare of loud parties). Staff are friendly and helpful (I had booked and paid 3 nights in dorm but decided to swap the middle night for double and I only had to pay the difference with no dramas).

Pancakes on Sunday morning rock.

This was a really upmarket hostel with amazingly pleasant and cheerful staff who were only too happy to have a chat and help. It was exceptionally clean and the facilities were excellent. There is no free luggage storage which is a bit of a pain if you arrive on an early flight before the 2pm checkin, although it's not excessively expensive. In room lockers are of a decent size and there were enough power points available for everyone in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay, huge hostel all rooms clean and modern. Located in a good spot, close to everything. Have a whole floor of common rooms so easy to meet people and modern kitchen facilities. Would highly recommend if looking for a hostel in the Brisbane CBD, not too badly priced either

This is much more like a hotel than hostel! It's very modern and fresh. Rooms are spacious and great comfey beds. Amazon roof top kitchen with beautiful pool and seating area overlooking the city. The kitchen is well equipped but can be a little manic in busy dinner time! Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location- Coles and restaurants and bars opposite the road. Would Definately stay again. Only negatives no free wifi and showers were weak.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

We stayed for one night in the hostel and it was very good. The rooms were clean and also the facilities. The staff was very friendly and helpful (also for tips for the night). It is very expensive, but worth the price.

You will not find the typical backpackers here, more couples and older poeple and even families. If you are looking for a party-hostel, you should look somewhere else. But nonetheless, you can bring your own drinks to the hostel and the roof area, only the bar in the front building is licenced, not the rest of the hostel. We really enjoyed our stay
