We stayed in Apt E48, a privately owned 3 bedroom unit on the 5th floor with lovely river views, north-east facing, all day sun, lovely balcony. Good free parking, and an awesome restaurant across the courtyard. Pool was good, although a few more loungers would be better. The apartment was spacious, however it was very run down. Missing light fittings, broken drawers, very uncomfortable bed, the roman blinds were tatty and some could not be raised or lowered. The TV did not work, the kitchenware was unmatched and insufficient, but worst of all, we could not secure the apartment as two of the three ranchsliders would not lock. In fact the handle of the ranchslider (in the child's room) came off in our hands.
Now for the good bit. We reported our concerns to the Manager and within just a couple of hours, he had repaired the doors, TV, and supplied new crockery and cutlery. He was extremely apologetic and said that we should never have had to experience the problems we did and that the owner had agreed to refurbish the apartment very soon. The other issue which we had but did not take up with Management is that the air con unit struggled to keep the lounge cool. (The lowest we could get it to was 28 degrees!!) This was the only a/c unit in the apartment. Therefore the bedrooms were very hot and stuffy.
We did have the opportunity to view other apartments, (our party had rented four) and all were in much better condition than E48. Based on this observation, we would have no hesitation in recommending Goldsborough, but we would not consider staying in E48 until it has been refurbished.

The location of these apartments is great - city fringe, absolute river front, with several restaurants and cafes nearby. The view of the river from the balcony was stunning.
The building has recently had a repaint which has modernised the outside of the building, however the rooms are a little tired, but comfortable and fairly spacious.
We had a large group and booked several apartments for a few nights, and each apartment varied in their layout and furniture.
There were a couple of issues with one apartment which the onsite manager rectified very quickly. The manager was also very accommodating with a few requests we had, such as extra car parks for guests.
My biggest issue was the bed - it had a wooden frame was was quite creaky, and walking into the sharp corner of the bed in the dark was very painful!
This place has so much potential, but is definitely in need of an upgrade.

My brother put us up here as he does not have room in his own apartment for visitors. It was OK, but not really much more. The apartments have all the necessities but lack any flair. Great views from the balconies though. The second apartment was rather more tired than the first and in need of some investment in the kitchen area. Tiny kettle was barely enough for 2 and the hob was well past it best. But then again, the fridge was new so a case of swings and roundabouts. Clearly a lot depends on the owners of each apartment, and based on what we saw it might be a bit hit and miss in what you end up with. But for a few nights it would be absolutely fine.

With the river from the balcony, the pool directly below, easy walk to restaurants and grocery shops (as the apartment is fully equipped) - and a gym next door - this location is perfect for business in the city within a 2km radius where walking or taxi is an option you will consider. Great walkways all around the edge of the river.

Room Tip: Tower E Room 22 was ideal and easy access from basement to carpark or outside side door. I didn'...

Our family of six stayed here recently in a three bedroom apartment. The staff were very helpful allowing us an early checkin and extra car space at no added cost. Kids loved the pool. The apartments are well located within easy reach of the CBD. Lovely view of river and wonderful walking/bike track right outside the door. Would definitely stay again!

I am very dissapointed & regret it so much staying in Goldsborough Place. Wl definitely not recomending it to anyone & definitely wont return back to Goldsborough!
A major dissapoinment!!

Upon arrival after hours (around 11.30pm) and entered the apmt, We called up the manager's hp so many times but she didnt pick up. Didnt even bother to reply to the sms. The aircond at the living room wasnt working the first night due to faulty batteries! Why didnt they checked b4 letting guests in? No wonder the sliding door was left wide open till midnite!

We had to sleep in a very hot & stuffy apartment coz the place only have one fan in just one room and NO aircond in the room. We have a baby, a toddler & 2kids with us, but they cant sleep well due to the heat so were we! The nxt morning the place had this fire alarm check from 7.30am-10am and the alarm sirence keep on ringing EVERY 10mins thruout that 3hrs!!

Just imagine, we had a long flight the night before & we needed to rest but the apartment was giving us such a nightmare! The fire brigade guys kept on knocking on our door while we were still sleeping & they even came in twice to check & repair the smoke detector!! This was really unacceptable! We truly believe the management hv had known about this scheduled fire drill excersice way in advance but didnt want to tell/advise us abt it, esp when they've been informed we were arriving late thus surely needed good rest till late morning. We do feel cheated with this arrangement & definitely question their ill intention in doing the business

I think the public should know on the insincerity of the management of Goldsborough Place.

In addition, the place is lack of hygiene. Just look at their toaster, as if like it has been used for a 1000years and the kitchen floor is sticky & dirty. Not worth with its price of more than $200 pernite!

Highly NOT recommended. Find elsewhere if u can. Dont get deceived by the pictures in the net. Its far from actual. Do take note!! Or u'll regret paying so much!

Loved our stay at Goldsborough Place. If you are looking for somewhere with a great vibe close to Brisbane city then this is a great place. Ferry terminals and bus (all walking distance) will take you wherever you want to go. Surrounded by trendy restaurants and quirky little shops I really enjoyed time out from work looking around the place. There is also a gym located at the bottom of the complex (first session free or $15 casual visit) and a 25m lap pool (which is free). One of the days I also ran along the river front right into the city (approx 6km) through New Farm which was lovely. I decided to stay on for the wkend to have a better look around. A nice trip is to also duck across the river (ferry leaves from the bus terminal just off Vernon Tce- near McTagets Place) to Bulimba cheap movies and popular restaurant strip. Highly recommend.
