The size of our room was incredible and decor very tasteful. The house is absolutely beautiful and private. The hospitality is lovely and extremely friendly. It was hard to leave. Recommend this B&B highly.

Thanks for taking time to review our bed and breakfast and for your comments. It's very helpful for us to read our reviews. We love to have guests stay for Suncorp Stadium events. On those occasions we hear the roar of the crowd at the Stadium and then, because of the short time delay, see the reason for that roar on television.

We were at the stadium on Saturday night for the Wallabies v France game and took the easy walk to and from via Milton Train Station.

Looking forward to the next game,

Maryanne and Philip

Lovely home situated in the suburb of Milton, the home is close to some great places to eat and not to far from the centre of town. The host's Phillip and Maryanne are very friendly, have excellant local knowledge and really are a great part of the B&B experience which make the difference from other B&B's we have stayed at and the impersonal stops at hotels/motels. The bedrooms are comfortable, air conditioned, TV (Watch in bed- well it was a holiday) and have luxurious en-suites, the double we stayed in has a small ouside private verandah that was a good place to relax and read a book. The breakfast is a lovely affair, we had the fruit salad to start followed by cereal and toast with some home made and locally sourced jam's, you can also add a cooked meal to the start of the day if you wish. You can help yourself to coffee or tea etc or a slice of Maryanne's delicious cakes during the day. Certainly will be placing this B & B on our short list.

We can hardly believe it when we arrive at a beautifully restored home in the middle of a hot day and the room has been cooled down for you, the fridge has chilled drinks to enjoy on the verandah, the bed has gorgeous linen and is the most comfortable and interesting bed we've slept in. Well, you'd think that would tick all the boxes but wait...there's more. Phillip and Maryanne offer to drive us to the wedding we are attending and as I get into the car I explain that I left my earrings at home. Guess what happens? Maryanne promptly produces the perfect pair for me to wear (whilst in the car). Add a scrumptious breakfast and interesting conversation with our hosts and you have a magic holiday.

Such a wonderful review. Thank you. We loved having you to stay with us and the trip to the wedding venue was an interesting one. The earrings did go well with your outfit.

We really enjoy having wedding parties and guests to visit. They bring with them such an infectious sense of fun.

Thanks for coming, and we hope to see you again when you're next in Brisbane to visit family.

We stayed here in May 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Both Philip and Maryanne were wonderful hosts and ensured we were comfortable, well fed with a delicious breakfast and informed about the local attractions, transport and eateries. The property is a gorgeous older style home on the outside with its wide covered verandah overlooking the park and oval and stylishly furnished both inside and out. There's a wonderful relaxing vibe about the B&B and is just the perfect place to stay. It was very much a "home away from home" and we look forward to returning in the very near future.

Now that summer has arrived it's a lot warmer in Brisbane than it was in May when you were here. Everyone here is enjoying the verandahs on summer nights for sitting around relaxing and the odd Scrabble challenge. We're winding down 2013 and looking forward to the New Year.

Thank you for writing such a positive review. We look forward to seeing you next time you are visiting family in Brisbane.

Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to you and yours.

Frequently in Brisbane for business, this elegant home offers the efficiency I require - and includes superb breakfast and other services that make every stay a pleasure. Phillip and Maryanne go out of their way to exceed expectations. I look forward to the beautiful rooms and art - and the convenience of the proximity to the city and nearby restaurants, yoga centre and other amenities.

Thank you Philip and Maryanne for a great stay with you and your lovingly kept traditional Villa. Pre-Breakfast on the rocking chair in a cool front verandah, reading the paper in our private side verandah, fantastic breakfasts with Maryanne's fruit "fascinators" and Philip's service were a great day-starter through to day-ender of Maryanne's "cakelets" with a cuppa in the dining room and a quiet read in the snug lounge, were better than home. Our hosts genuine interest in our travel plans with helpful local advice helped us enjoy a full Brisbane stay. Thank you from Marshall and Maria

What a wonderful time we had last week with a house full of happy travellers. It was such a fun filled week that it passed too quickly. Thanks for your kind words and appreciation of our efforts. We love the term 'fruit fascinators' and have decided to adopt it as our own. Our search for a word to describe our breakfast fruit course is over!

Jack the Cat continues to play his 'furry greeter' role and makes the breezy verandah his own domain.

Happy travels for the rest of your visit to Australia.

Staying a weekend at MIlton B&B was the crown of my 11 day trip to the Brisbane area. Philip and Marianne provided me with very helpful information by email before I arrived and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was palatial with a lovely private verandah and luxurious bathroom. The decor was artfully done with interesting historic mementos. I loved the soothing classical music arising from the living room. My gracious hosts had a family event at the Sunshine coast and gave me a ride to the Australia zoo and then up to the Mt Cootha lookout on the way back. We had great conversation as with old friends. The neighbourhood is charming with a selection of good restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were delicious and thoughfully prepared- even some freshly squeezed pineapple juice as an added treat! Thank you, Marianne and Philip, for making me feel at home in Brisbane! I hope to return again!

Room Tip: You will not be disappointed with the Rosalie room.

We're so pleased you decided to stay the weekend in Brisbane after attending your seminar, and enjoyed your company and sharing stories with you. It's great to show everyone what a great place Brisbane is and how uncomplicated it is to get around here. Right now the afternoon sea breeze is blowing into the house through the verandah doors and it's a beautiful afternoon here.

We look forward to seeing you next time you come to Brisbane.
