We recently spent our wedding night at this Hotel. Our room on the 4th floor gave us great views of the Brisbane river. We paid $200 for two nights. The room was clean, modern and spacious. The bathroom was neat with an over bath shower and a large mirror. Overall a lovely room and Hotel.

Room Tip: 7 min drive to the CBD, on bus route to city. Front corner rooms have best views of the river.

Having stayed at the Riverview previously, (and not been overly impressed) I was a little disappointed when my work booked me here again. As it was just for one night, I didn't bother changing hotels.
On check in, I was advised I'd been put in the prototype room for their renovation. The difference from my previous experience was massive, with a much brighter and welcoming decor, yet still distinctive.
If all rooms get done over to the same standard and style, then I'd be happy to return for a short stay. Hope they maintain the cleanliness of that 'new room'.

Fancy spending $300 a night for a room overlooking the wonderful Brisbane River? I've stayed here before, happy to pay the top price tag for the view. However this time the windows were so dirty it was difficult to see through. Not just grimy, filthy as in a dozen eggs thrown at the window filthy! But wait there's more. On arrival the hotel tells you gently they're renovating to 'create a sense of individual well being for every guest, ensuring you wake rested and rejuvenated'. Obviously starting up a jackhammer in the floor above at 7am is the hotel's way of contributing to a guest's peace of mind. But while you might leave this zone of tranquility feeling tired and frazzled, there's an upside! To ensure minimal disruption, the refurbishment program has been scheduled for one floor at a time. So it's ok then. I just picked the wrong floor to stay on.

Room Tip: Ask for clean windows particularly if you have a room overlooking the river.

Simple rooms, but comfortable. We only paid $120 a night and thought it was good value. Great location, easy to walk To southbank, city and to suncorp stadium if your going for a sport event. Breakfast buffet was good for $15 extra. Would recommend for value and location in Brisbane.

Stayed here on the 21/22 of June. For the price I paid I was expecting a nice hotel not a badly old fashioned hotel that's in dire need of renovation. We stayed in a room which was next to the elevator, with paper thin walls it was all I heard for most of the night. The room itself was very basic and the bathroom had all the signs of being 70/80 years old.
As I stayed here for the lions rugby weekend I was shocked to find the residents bar closes at 11pm, right before any supporters had a chance to get back from the game. (I was not the only resident annoyed by this either).

My advice is stay elsewhere, for the same money you will get a lovely modern hotel in the city or airport. On the up side the staff are very nice to deal with.

We stayed at the Riverview for two nights.
It is close enough to the airport that it doesn't take long to get there.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Everything we needed was within walking distance and withthe city cat ferries just up the road it was easy to get around.
We found the room very comfortable and very clean.
We spent an enjoyable hour at the bar when we got back from our show and enjoyed breakfast the next morning.
I won't hesitate to go back next time we are going to Brisbane
