I was only going to stay initially for a very short period however I enjoyed it so much I ended up staying for quite a long time. The managers are kiwis and displayed true kiwi hospitality and genuine friendliness and if you're like me this is something that sets some places apart from the rest.
The building is an old heritage building so it's not a modern looking place but it is clean and comfortable and does have a homely type of feel to it.I stayed in a single room with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities on the second floor. There's was a small kitchenette on my floor as well as showers and toilets and all were clean and this layout extends to the other floors as well. On the floor above there was a coin operated washing machine and dryer as well as an ironing board and iron.
You can't fault the location - it's excellent, it's a five minute walk to the central city and central train station and with a couple of restaurants less then a few hundred metres away as well as a convenience store just across the road it's just so handy.
The managers are always willing to give advice on what to see or how to get somewhere and the reception area has lots of brochures and information guides to ensure you get the most out of your stay.
The prices are reasonable, you get clean. comfortable accommodation in such a good location so overall I really would recommend the place - I'll say it again ..I loved it. Thanks guys!

We stayed here a night before moving off to Gold Coast. The Kiwi run place suited our needs. The room was clean and quiet and the staff were gracious and friendly (I did already mention that they are Kiwis so you won't be surprised). They went out of their way to assist us with tourist information and would happily stay here again.

Price a big higher than we would have liked to have paid but good compared to others in the area. Location is excellent, just a short walk to all the action around town.

We have passed this accommodation many times while visiting Brisbane and it never really grabbed us. On a last minute decision of another trip into the city, we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it was spacious as we had a room with an attached porch on the ground floor. Made it very handy if you are a smoker or just want to sit outside of your room. You have to look past the security bars as it is right in your face but we took it for its purpose, security.

Breakfast was included in the price. There was parking on the premises which is godsend as parking in the city can be crazy and expensive. The gentleman who received us at check in was friendly, pleasant and we would consider returning if we wanted to spend a night in the city. It is not flash but my husband and I tend to only use hotel accommodations to store our luggage and sleep as we love exploring the places around us. It had a tv, fridge, kettle and brightly lit rooms. Last but not least, close to the train station.

Room Tip: Ground floor with the attached porch is a nice touch for additional space.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. The room was small but clean. Bathrooms a bit outdated but still ok. Fully equiped kitchen available! Location is good 5 minutes walk from central Brisbane. Don't expect anything fancy, just a basic accomodation in the center of Brisbane.

Stuck in a bit of a 50's time warp but perfectively functional. Location excellent, some street noise from main road at front but side rooms quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly, lots of tourist info in entrance. Separate bathroom tidy and clean, plenty of hot water. Had a single room for 2 days, but got upgraded to double after strange musty smell appeared.

Room Tip: Try to get a side room.

It was a last minute decision to drop by brisbane to stay overnight, so i didn't book any hotel, did some last minute review on tripadvisor and saw this inn. So feeling confident, i went to look for it and just walked in.. and it didn't disappoint me. It was quite good value for it's location and cleanliness, for a room with 3 beds, there are 3 of us in my travel this time, and we shared the cost of the room, which is AU$120 per night per room of 3 beds, with breakfast (toast, milk, orange juice, butter, marmalade, coffee, tea, ricebubble/cornflakes/weetbix)

The owner (i guess) was very helpful. Showed us the important landmarks not to be missed, and advice us of the free river cruise which we didn't know (kangaroo city hopper, don't miss the free ride, the free red colour cruise stops many stops on the brisbane river bank, around the Central Business Districts, you can hop on and off to visit other parts of the city, all free) and the inn though check out time is 9.30am, he allowed us to check in, early too, before 10am... The inn closes for registration at 8.30pm. but customers can come in late, with special coded key.. and the next morning, he graciously allowed us to leave our luggage, as long as we like, at the inn, while we explored Brisbane, before departing to our next destination

Importantly to us, the inn is very clean, we have to share common bath rooms and toilets, segregate for females and males. but they are very clean. the room is clean too, and the bed is comfortable, we had a very good night sleep. Also, the location is really very convenient, just a short walk to the Central Railway Station, and also to Queenstreet Malls (shoppings and also if you visit on Wednesday, there is a market, interesting, right at the end of the queenstreet malls.) city hopper free river cruise is also right at the end of the mall...

Spent one night at Acacia between flights. It was a good option for me. Very close to the CBD. Clean - shared facilities too. The price ($75) for single was better than other hotels in that area. Breakfast provided. Friendly staff.
