“Not very special but OK”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Our room was OK except the air-con was too noisy because it's the very old model (window unit). The toilet was clean. The place was good for travel when it's near the Roma Street Station. The staff was friendly.

Room very very small dull and dreary carpet had iron burn mark, curtains very old, balcony door would not open bed less than average no bedhead the odour of cooking smells from the kitchen wafting up the stairs was disgusting and left smell in my clothes after one night only stay. Booked in for 3 night stay but left on the 2nd day all accommodation paid in full. Car parking very small area difficult to get in and out very narrow 4 under cover spaces only and first in best dressed otherwise paid street parking available at your cost 0.20c for 3 minutes.
Will not be recommending this establishment

We stayed here for 6 nights on a business trip. The room was very small but the room and hotel were clean and comfortable.
It only took us about 5 minutes to walk into the city centre, which was handy, and the train to/from the airport is just down the road.
I would recommend this hotel to people who will not be spending alot of time in their room but are just looking for somewhere reasonably priced and comfortable.
The cost of a taxi, from the airport, was about $50.

Soho Brisbane was convenient for us as it is just a few doors down from Brisbane Private Hospital.
There is a restaurant on site which is good value for money.
All staff are excellent and very polite.
This is boutique style accommodation so the rooms are not huge but they are comfortable and very very clean.
I would recommend requesting a room towards the back of the complex as the last time we stayed which was our 3rd visit we had a room closer to the front and found the road noise was a problem.
Soho is close to Brisbane city and during the day the free Spring Hill loop bus picks you up at the front of the complex next door which I found great for my trips to the city.

Room Tip: I would recommend requesting a room towards the back of the complex as the last time we stayed which...

from the moment we checked in we were made welcome. The reception lady was very nice and helpful. Had our meal each evening at the restaurant which was great. A small menu but well priced with the food cooked very well. The restaurant staff were very professional. The hotel is within walking distance of Queen Street mall plus various bars for hubby to relax in. The parking was a bit restricted but then its free so we cannot complain. WiFi was brilliant a very strong signal. The room was very clean, a bit cramped but then it is a city motel. The shower was excellent with fresh towels every day. If we are ever in Brisbane again we would stay here.

Room Tip: as there is no elevator, a room on the second floor is best.

We stayed here so that my partner could go to medical appointments but were able to fit in some personal time too. The hotel is just above the Roma St railway station and we walked up the hill through the gardens with one suitcase and a carry bag. I use a cane at the moment and the steep walk was challenging but doable. The hotel is an older style one and the rooms are not big but everything was clean and tidy. They offer dinner and breakfast downstairs in a dining room. The walk into the city is a steep one but I was able to do it several times. If you don't want to walk there is a taxi rank and a bus station just down the street. The real treasure in this place is their staff. Helpful, kind, courteous. We were back late from an appointment and close to the dining room closing but they stayed on to get our meal which was just as well as we were exhausted by that time. We would stay there again.

early check in and luckily got a car park underneath. Very small room but spotlessly clean and everything you need. Not far to walk into the city. Would definately stay again a good price.didn't have the breakfast or use any other of the facilities so cant comment on that.
