Average hotel in exceptional location

I stayed here for one night with my husband who was in Brisbane for business. The room was clean, the bed sufficient and the shower great. Unfortunately our window was right next to the train tracks, so it was a little noisy especially when we opened the window for some non-artificial air (great to have the option of opening a window, though...)! The television was old and its sound and screen was not good. I did not think it was worth buying an in-house movie to watch on such a TV! They charge for their internet, which is a shame I think in our day and age.

The location was truly fantastic. The hotel is located right on the South Bank and all it has to offer in terms of restaurants, a good swim, a relaxed vibe and a river walk. The station with the Airtrain was also within easy walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the street, so you do not get the train tracks!

We agree that our location is fantastic and are disappionted that you felt our hotel was average. We have a great variety of room types including apartments with fantastic city views, a modern very friendly restaurant, great gym, pool and spa. Internet is high speed and very accessible and is free to inhouse guests in our lobby internet kiosk. Our new TV's are scheduled to be installed over the next couple of months so when you come back to stay you can take the time to chill out and watch those movies!

Nice night away

My wife booked us on a special deal in a studio room for a night away in the city. We arrived at 1000am just looking to have the car parked and check in later. We were greeted warmly by the valet and received the same treatment at reception. When we asked if we could just park the car and check in later according to the rules, We were pleasantly surprised when they said we could check in now and go right up to the room. The room itself was very neat and clean, with the usual minbar service. Room service was available if needed. We had the buffett breakfast included in our package. The food itself was good quality and was replenished on a regular basis. The only negative I have with the food was that the scrambled eggs in the warmer did not look at all appealing or anything that resembled scrambled eggs to me. This was not a problem as they do prepare eggs to order and I had a ham and cheese omelette which was fine. We would stay here again if we wanted another night away in the city.

southbank mantra

recently a few of us girls stayed at south bank mantra for a Christmas party
the staff are so friendly and helpful
pablo the concierge was very helpful as well
our rooms were very clean could not fault them at all
i was surprised at the night life and restaurants surrounding the hotel as i have never stayed in brissy before
i will be going back again
i really enjoyed our stay

Room Tip: we stayed on the 5th floor facing the train line i thought this would be very noisy but was quite surprised

Excellent location

We have stayed here before and knew what to expect.

Good things for new customers to consider are;
Brilliant location, many cafes/restaurants within a 2 minute walk,
City a comfortable 15 minute stroll across the bridge,
Two train stations within a 5 minute walk,
Fair value for rooms.
Service is good.

Not so good things;
Parking is mandatory, which is fine. The charge for the valet service (not optional) is a bit over the top.

We will stay here again, based purely on the location and convenience to amenities.

Room Tip: From previous experience, do not get a room adjacent to the pool. The pool door opening and closing will keep you awake.

Great feedback thank you. We're in a fantastic location for both leisure and business guests and we're very happy you agree.

Our parking fee is one of the lowest in Brisbane - especially as secure overnight parking costs in South Bank are very high. Plus we park your car for you - convenient and a great service for our guests. Guests are welcome to park elsewhere however secure overnight parking is $50+ in South Bank so it's well worth having your car looked after by our team when you arrive.

Great location

The rooms are so clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for eating and drinking around Southbank. Would return here when next in Brisbane. Must mention the breakfast here which includes home made beans with a twist which were lovely.
