The Brisbane river meanders its way from the Conondale ranges in the N/W in the direction of Kingaroy to Moreton Bay. In the Brisbane area; the river has many uses .There are pleasure craft from Kayaks, small boats ,Ferries to Yachts,The river is , a great way to see the city. The river banks have paths designed for pedestrian, and push bikes .

Brisbane river is full of activities in the evening. People seem to be enjoying their time jogging or other physical exercises. Kids love having fun. Brisbane river bridge can be best captured on camera from garden adjoining.

Around near the story bridge you can cross the river on the city hopper for free. If you want a faster ride, take the city car which needs a go-card and it goes further up and down the river, all the way up to St Lucia. For a walk around the river the best place is along Southbank. There is also a kayak hire place at Kangaroo point just past the base of the cliffs and further around under the story bridge you can have a BBQ right on the river with facilities there.

Was amazed at how big, long and bendy the river is. South Bank is amazing and all along the river you can hop off and take in restaurants, bars, cafe's and parks with interesting art.

To me it is the main artery of the Brisbane Body. Brisbane has made the most of the River and with the Cats and Hopper it is a pleasant experience to travel from one end to the other.
