“not worth the drive UNLESS”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Unless you are a fisherman, a bit interested in nature ..the birds, crabs and mudflats it is hard to reccommend..
Though it is all supposed to be well treared the sewage plant pumps out nearby.
And beware the mossies, there is one or two hundred (thousand around)\Also a dead end no through road.
Nice quiet place for a picnic just don't stay too late.

“A bit disappointing.”
Reviewed 10 July 2013

If you're looking for a sandy beach, this muddy one is not for you. It's probably okay for naturalists, and the park and grassed areas are OK.

“Always worth the trip ..”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Preferably when the tide is in BUT if not the flats are a great walk and the photo opportunities abound. Mangroves trees along the beach edge and the wetlands walk close bye ... Lovely for a quiet picnic and the facilities are all there .

“Great cafe!”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

Nudgee Beach is very small and very popular with cyclists - it is a useful turnaround point or a food/drink break for longer trips en route north to Sandgate and Redcliffe, or west along Jim Soorley bikeway and Kedron Brook bikeway and points west and south of those. The beach is essentially mud with mangroves but pretty nevertheless and great views. When the tide is out you often see families with young children walking with dogs, and sometimes horses being exercised. The one and only cafe there, Pam's cafe 88 (in O'Quinn St), is incredibly popular as Pam and husband Harry are just so welcoming to cyclists and they have good coffee and green tea and good food. There are toilets and a tap in the park at the beach.

“Very sparse”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

There are lot of eating areas, but unfortunantly water suffers from tides. But it is peaceful, lots of area for kids to play, and set yourself up for a nice barbecue. Once again you will need to do your own catering.
