If you take the train from the airport, get off @ Central Station vs. Roma. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and general information about where to go and how to get there. The unit we stayed in was worn. There was a large red wine stain at the deck door and many other stains in the entry and living area. The carpet should have been replaced. The silverware was mismatched and there were just three of each item.
In all fairness to mangagment, we did not pass along these comments as there wasn't anything they could do while we were in the apartment. I would stay here again yet would ask to see a room before "moving in".

Stayed in a two-bedroom apartment on a weekend trip to Brisbane. The bedroom with the balcony had two sliding doors as an entrance point from the lounge room with no blinds on them. Not so good from a privacy/ comfort point of view! Other bedroom had a small window and a ceiling fan, which helped because the only air conditioner was in the lounge room. On the plus side, good city location (note that undercover parking will set you back $20 a night, but there is street parking) and great value because they were doing a special deal on wotif (although that meant that we didn't get room service). Also had a well-equipped kitchen, reasonable bathroom and came complete with washing machine.

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I booked through wotif and got a reasonable price for our one night mid week stay. Parking is currently $20/night, which is ok for a Brisbane city hotel. Reception desk were quite helpful and when our room wasn't ready prior to 2pm they let us park our car in the car park space that we had reserved prior to check-in

Based on previous reviews, I requested a room on higher level with river views, and had a great view from the balcony.

The hotel is well placed, only a couple of minutes walk to Eagle Street Pier and about 5-10 minutes walk to the Queen Street Mall. There are lots of restaurants and cafes near by or you could choose to get some groceries and self cater.

As it was a mid week stay, we were able to check in quickly and there was no one at the small pool or gym when we went down in the late afternoon.

We stayed in a one bedroom, which was quite spacious compared to other places I've stayed in Brisbane. The front bedroom had been converted to an office and the kitchen had all that you could need. We were only there for a night but this is the kind of place that you could easily base yourself for a longer stay

This was a good experience and the next time we are in Brisbane, we will definitely return to the Oaks Felix.

We stayed at the Oaks because of the contributions made by Travel Advisor subscribers and was not disappointed. The rooms were very clean, above average in size and well appointed. The only fault with the apartment was that the lounge/kitchen and dining room (which is combined) was very small and the furniture took up most of the space.

We booked a two bedroom two bathroom apartment with a balcony. We were on the 22 nd floor. We had two buildings in front of us but could still see the river, storey bridge and to the left of the building. The buildings opposite us had extraction fans at our level but when we closed the balcony door, you couldn't hear the noise.

The fabulous part of the experience was the great restaurants around us. They are very well priced and fabulous. I recommend most. You are within easy walking distance to the centre of town and have a 7/11 shop next to the entrance of the Oaks.

All in all I think it was an above average experience and would stay there again - maybe not the 22nd floor (because of the extraction sound from the airconditioning fans) but certainly a hirer or lower floor.

I booked two nights here on wotif.com, what a brilliant price. Didn't think i would be spending too much time in the apartment so booked somewhere cheap. To my surprise this place was amazing. We had an apartment with a view looking onto the Brisbane River, it was stunning. The apartment was huge, clean and had everything we needed. Even used the gym in the morning, basic but adequate. The location was great too, plenty of really nice eating places round about for every budget and two minutes walk to the main shopping area. I just loved it here and would recommend it to everyone going to stay in Brisbane, just ask for a room with a river view.
