“Believe the hype!”

Stayed in a standard room for 2 nights in early January. The reviews on this website influenced my decision to stay at this hotel. I'm very pleased to advise the majority of positive reviews for this hotel are accurate!

The hotel decor at first glance may be a bit off-putting for conservative types, and that includes myself. I soon got over that and by the time the stay was over it had grown on me. The room was exquisite to say the least, indulgent and refined. No detail had been overlooked in its construction, right down to the soft-closing robes, cupboards and drawers. I had the best night's sleep in a very long time!

Facilities at the hotel were excellent, including the pool and gymnasium. The restaurants and shopping within the Emporium precinct were also of a high standard, but not cheap (mind you if you're staying at the Emporium in the first place you could probably afford it anyway).

The hotel's website is generally cheaper than discount booking web sites such as Wotif and Lastminute.

If a CBD location is a priority, you'd probably stay somewhere else, otherwise the Emporium comes highly recommended.

This is a fabulous hotel and so reasonably priced for a bit of luxury. Excellent service by immaculately groomed Front Desk and Concierge staff. The rooms are a little compact however are dressed contemporarily and the bed linen is exquisite. Bathroom size is fabulous with a great range of Moulton Brown toiletries. They have a fabulous roof top pool area with free bottled water and comfortable loungers.
The hotel is about 15 minutes by foot from the city centre however have a good range of restaurants in the complex below. I would recommend this hotel for a great weekend getaway with rooms you’d like to spend time in.

This place is really good. We got a great rate via Wotif and have no complaints about the service or the stay.

The reception staff are attentive and helpful. They help with any problems, big or small and nothing is too much trouble.

There are always plenty of staff and you are never waiting long to see anyone.

The rooms (we had a King Suite) are spacious and well outfitted. There are quality TVs, stereos, bed linen and furniture.
Every evening bottles of water and chocolates are left and there is a turndown service
The beds are super comfortable and bathrooms are large.

The hotel is out of the city centre and it takes about 20mins to walk to the CBD. As a tourist, Fortitude Valley was a much better place to stay with access to the shops and restaurants on James Street and the waterfront at Teneriffe only being about 15 minutes walk away. There are also good shops, a supermarket and restaurants within the wider Emporium Complex.

The pool is small but has comfortable deckchairs and loungers. There is also a gym and business centre.

I cannot fault this place.

I stayed here for business. The hotel is over the top glitz. It is in the middle of nowhere. No views, and a long walk along a traffic filled street to downtown. About 30 minutes walk to the Queen Street Mall. The hotel's main entrance is really a car park for neighbouring businesses. It was close to Harvey Norman and Freedom Furniture and other furniture stores if you want to buy a table. Basically, a bad location for a hotel in a big box store area, surrounded by busy roads, so they went over the top with interior decoration.

This hotel has gotta be one of the nicest hotels in brisbane.

It looks very cool from the outside and the design continus all the way...

The king spa room was excellent big comfortable plenty of pillows and overhaul very relaxing.

The pool has a very nice setting and view although I didnt jump in.

Location is perfect with many restaurns and shops downstairs.

Only drawback was the light in the room, sunshine hits at about 4:30, the 2nd night I found how to make sure the room is dark so I can sleep better.

in room dining was good, diverse menu and no so expensive.

Great place

Emporium definitely deserves the good reviews. Rooms & furnishings are very modern & new. The staff are very friendly & helpful. It was quiet. The cocktails at the bar were excellent. I struggle to find a fault...okay don't expect great views! It is a short walk to the Valley shops & 30 minutes walk to the city. Highly Recommended & would be my first choice if returning to Brisbane for a stay!
